nice watch, I've been thinking of getting the same one. Though would you say the watch looks more purple or dark blue in person?

It's purple more than blue indeed, but pay attention to the fact that the regular CASIO watches band tends to break after a year or 2 in comarison to the G-Shock resin bands which are stronger and lasts much longer.

It's kinda blue-black or dark violet.

The W218h is a modern design of the same F91w. a bit more rugged as well. but they are both a basic CASIOs.

It's an excellent minimalistic watch and it can handle some beating as well at work. I like it, best value for the money for a basic watch.
