Yes, another favourite Casio general model, the W219H. In this Casio W-219H / W219 full review, we'll check what features this cool digital watch has. By the way, looks like it inherits the DNA of G-Shock DW6900 / DW6600. The variant in this review is W-219H-8BV, the beater in blackout style.

This time we will review the Casio W 219 H
At the time this video was made, there were five colour variants, 1AV 2AV, 8BV, as well as two additional variants 2A2V, and 4AV. In this video, I'm using W219H-8BV or W219H-8BVDF which uses a negative display.
Previously someone commented to review this watch since it looks like a non GShock version of the DW6900. And by the looks of it, the design resembles DW6900 or DW6600, with the iconic semi-circular display and protruding horseshoe-shaped bezel
The module also looks similar to the W218h. And comparing the engraving on the backplate, it has the same module, 3224.

From asthetic point of view, it's way nicer than DW6900, less bulky and more modern. I bought it for 20 euros in romania, it is really amazing

Not a watch guy, but saw this at Walmart for only $16 after looking through all the others they had some reason this one stuck with me. Nice watch especially for the price, great video

@@sargera1 I’ve worn it daily ever since I posted this, and it’s well worth the price. The waterproof of it as well as the scratch resistant it has is very nice. Surprised I found it for under $20

My only complain is the negative display being too dark even in daylight and light button has to be pressed and hold.. a 3-second light would be better

Depends on the users preference. In overall, the negative display model looks cool, but the positive display have better screen legibility/readability

only decent one for EL along with f-105 under 20 bucks ( neg display ones) wished they clone the screeen to AE-1000

Great video - what to look for to ensure real not counterfeit? Also how does your W218H have the Indonesian flag? And why is it negative-lot? When I search your w218h all are normal lit (positive)? And last question, what are your thoughts comparing the W219h to W218h?

This link is one of the method to check (casio,lcd,alarm), but still we can't be sure, since the fake makers are getting good at copying the features kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rb-VldR5mLWpnWg.html . Best way to avoid counterfeits is by buying from reputable shop. For the w218h, I modified to negative display (change the polarizer film), and put Indonesia flag on it. Both 218 and 219 are great, same module, same WR. If you lke the square model, go for 218. Round model ? Then 219 :)

Hi sam. Wanted to ask about the negative display of both w218h & w219h; which one is better in your opinion?

Frankly, I don't have the "real" negative display version of W218H; mine was the positive display before I modified the polarizer. Therefore, I can't really answer in detail. But anyway, both models share the same module and are also about the same generation. Therefore, I would assume that they'll have the exact same display legibility, contrast, etc.

You can rub the wording using cotton bud or soft cloth, with IPA, alcohol (or hand sanitizer that contains them), or eucalyptus oil. It might takes around 5-10 minutes. Note : don't use acetone, gasoline, or any other strong solvent, it will melt the plastic.

Wipe them with soft cloth and IPA (isopropyl alcohol) or essential oil. Might take about 5-10 mins. (And don't use acetone, nail polish remover, or gasoline as they're too strong).
