This song has everything nice build up in the beginning ,jazzy groovy guitar solo only issei can do,orgasmic chorus synths in the Roland Vp....together climaxing almost dramatic towards the end finishing off to almost absolute silence......One of my favorite tracks of Casio......

This tuning represents so far the best album of this japanese group. There is much more sense of groove and melody than any other later recording from them.

Yeah i think they followed jazz/pop trends at the time a bit too much instead of perfecting their own style and sound.

and Tears of the stars was inspired by the brazilian bossa nova "Corcovado".

@@barbiroto I actually listened to Corvocado to compare, and whilst that is a nice song, the isn't enough between it and Tears of the Star to draw a direct inspiration. There's been no official statement to my knowledge regarding the inspiration.

Usually this band is either too disco or too smooth jazz for my taste but this tune was great, almost like an ambient / jazz-rock fusion with echoes of Brian Eno in the synth sounds.

Love that progression starting around 2:10. Feels like climbing a mountain or celestial stairway, up and up and up until it culminates in this moment of brilliance. Crazy how much emotion can be conveyed/interpreted in music without lyrics.

Yes, same with midnight rendezvous, it has a more jazzy tune compared to the mint jams version, which envolves more funky elements, which is also not bad
Just feels like drums went double time there to me
