Just scared the shit out of me as a kid. I never even saw the whole thing that it was in but there was a commercial on a video for something. I can't even remember what show the video was for but that commercial to this day sticks with me and scares the shit out of me and I'm 30 years old now

It's also a mythology that death can appear or grim reaper in many forms, i love this train , the smoke represents the souls it needs to consume in order to keep moving, pretty freaky !

There is a gang on Venezuela that's is based on this cartoon , they call it " EL Tren De Aragua" The Train To Aragua on English, it's the name of a small town where this train goes to.

Interesting concept maybe when souls go for judgment two trains meet at the end of the line this being the first train to catch the other two. This train is the train of death. Then at judgment the either get on a shiny gold train solid gold coaches and a locomotive with a gold whistle while decorated in gold. The other is the polar opposite of the train to heaven. The other train is mangled, melted and looks like it came out of the scrap yarn where most locomotives die. This train has coaches that are ugly, unclean, shredded seats, the same could be said for the locomotive but on the smokebox doors of these two they have faces but don't speak. The golden one is warm, inviting, caring, loving, all knowing. Then the other has a devilish sharp toothed grin with crimson eyes and dark paint. This other train being the train to Hell.
