I wrote a whole paragraph then had to erase it… I couldn’t understand why she would keep the dress preserved unless she had intensions and SHE DID…. I see now she wanted to heal and WHEN she gained the strength to speak she would have undeniable evidence that could not be dismissed. When I was in an abusive relationship I kept pictures of every bruise and black eye even though I was still stuck. I had it because when it comes time to leave and the world turns on you they can’t deny what’s in front of their face. Just like no one believed Cassie when she WROTE her trauma… seeing it hits different doesn’t it

I don't know who gave CNN the video, but Cassie said in her lawsuit that Diddy paid $50,000 for the video. Either he purchased it and kept it or the person who sold it to him, made a copy. I believe Perez's theory. Diddy is dumb enough to keep the tape and not destroy it. He probably re-watched it over and over to make himself feel better

Whether Crystal McKinney saved the soiled garments from that horrific experience with Combs or not, does NOT in any way excuse or eliminate the incident. Combs does NOT ever get a pass! Furthermore, when a person is assaulted and feels safe enough to reveal the trauma, she/he shouldn’t be targeted with why didn’t you come forward earlier if it’s true.

I never want to take attention away from someone else's experience. But I think I'm going to put it here. As someone who's gone through violence and has seen domestic violence (DV) up close and personal, I can tell you how heartbreaking it is when no one believes you, when no one trusts what you say, and when everyone thinks you're lying. I can also tell you how hard it is to walk away. People keep asking why you won't leave, but how do you walk away when this is the only life you know? When you finally do walk away, it takes years, and, as someone once said, it never fully goes away. You're always going to be scared to trust, scared to love, and scared to move on. People need to start believing survivors, and people need to start talking about it. Domestic violence can happen to anybody, no matter their sexuality, religion, or background. So yeah, that's all I'm going to leave it at. But it's truly heartbreaking.

Sadly her keeping the clothes all these years might not help her case. DNA from fluids doesn’t last forever, it breaks down very fast and after a while, let alone 21 years kept in a plastic wrap in her closet there isn’t gonna be any viable dna to test. Her best shot was to report the assault and have a grape kit done by doctors at hospital who store all those samples properly and safely to test. Her case won’t be easy to win if she’s basing it all on the clothes she wore all those years ago to validate her claim…it’s gonna be tough

Imagine the opportunities she missed because he controlled and manipulated her; probably punishing her financially via his influence with people. And who knows if she's suffered permanent physical or health issue that we have not seen. She and all the other victims were afraid of his power and influence. They wait until they think it's safe to come out/tell their story; and usually when one person opens the door, all the others can walk through.
