I really like it. With the DAS the top strap would sometimes kinda catch the hair on my forehead, this lifts it out of the way, but the biggest advantage is that is shifts the center of gravity and pulls the weight off your cheeks a lot.

It doesn't but you can screen record the window with streamlabs obs with your mic awell

@@nategecko771 But if you have your Desk-Streaming Mic on, it will pick up the sounds from your oculus headset... so it is kind of a tough scenerio.. unless you want to go and put your headphones on also... for standing up / movement games, this is not ideal.

when I try to connect my quest to airreceiver it says streaming request sent and then... nothing happens. what do I do?

Hey been trying this method out this evening and it seems to be kind of hit or miss on the audio. The video portion streams fine for the most part, however there's some games that the audio will not seem to cast to the PC while other games and apps, works fine.

Nice vid. I'll have give it a go myself. Also that vzfit thing looks cool. I'd have to look into a stationary mount for my bike but in the winter that may just be the way to go to stay more active indoors. And thanks for doing all the work you do and the paddle give away and others you've done in the past. 👍

If I have a quest and my wife has a quest I know that if we want to play in the same game we both need to purchase the same game we can't share one. If we want to watch a movie, I use Plex, and skybox or use any free game together or something like virtual tour can that be done together? .

I tried this out and the steam worked fine at first. But then I switched my audio to output on my tv and the stream got super laggy. I switched audio back to my computer and the lag lessened a little bit, then my computer just blue screened and crashed. Any idea what may have happened?

How does this compare to the Chrome Casting functionality now built into the Quest 2? This looks like it's casting in widescreen while, to my knowledge, the built in functionality only casts a square resolution.

Great app and video. Though when i tested it the audio was very rough. There was a lot of static / air noises. not sure if that is my Quest or what. Still a huge improvement over spendin money for a capture card and chromecast.

Next question: how do I get simultaneous footage of me playing that matches up to the VR-Cast? Kinda like this video that shows you standing there looking around and also shows what you're seeing. In other words, if I want to show off my mad beat saber skills, I want a video that shows me swinging remotes synchronized to video of my light sabers slicing boxes. Is there an easy way to do this? Or do I need to manually synchronize two different videos in video editing software? Cheers.

you're probably going to need to sync it yourself, the best thing to do is to tap your controllers loudly together so that you can see/hear it on the camera and stream when the controllers touch. this will help you sync them while in the editing software

Hopefully im not too late to ask for help. I try to stream through my obs using this method and I noticed on the stream playback that the video quality was really horrible. I didn't mess with any settings. I chose window capture for air receiver, could that had been it? Is there a solution to this?

Does Air receiver still create lag during Beat Saber though? I found the Oculus website casting method works fine for beat saber, but with a bluetooth speaker connected for audio the game heavily lags.

You should get a Bluetooth mic. I don’t know the name but it has a usb that goes in your pc and it has a little sticker to put on the side of the quest so you can stick the actual mic on. If you go to cas and cary’s streaming tutorial video, at the end they show it.

So I’m having a problem with the audio cutting out with what seems to be any online multiplayer game (ie population one, Pavlov, and maybe onwards) it’s like the sound works all the way up until I get into a lobby then the sound cuts out... idk why this is happening and last time I bought a dongle I got the receiver and not the other one... lol lame but yeah lemme know if you’re having the same problem

I wondering why the universal menu is not active in my oculus quest. I downloaded the update 18 but nothing. The option to change the color of the boundary is active but I cant see how to activate the universal menu.

Thankyou! also tested this without an internet connection to the wirelessrouter also works. While compared to the Chromecast it actually need an active internet connection in order to cast. So thats nice if you need an Internet-free castingsolution :D Anyone found out what framerate the Quest Casts with ? is it 30 is it 60 or is it somwhere inbetween ? And what framerat does the AirReceiver output ?

Just tried it on the free trial, but after doing everything suggested in your comments below....no luck! Then I went back and bought the app....worked straight away! Just thought I'd give some of our friends my experience!

What's your settings? I've tried both free trial and bought it since it was cheap, but no successful connection. It does show up as an option to select to cast, but then says it fails to connect.

@@SilenMonser Well, I only have a basic knowledge of this area, but I first established the link between quest and computer (putting in codes and all that), then when the orange screen came on the computer after paying for the app, I selected the bottom right wheel icon, and checked it was the computer code selected, then on the oculus select cast, and the computer screen immediately showed the oculus screen , Hope this helps!

Love your vids man. I normally use Bluetooth dongles myself. I just tried AirReciever. The video had no latency but the sound had very noticeable latency. Way more then what was in your video. Not sure what the issue could be, but back to the bluetooth dongles for me I guess.

Might be as simple as restarting your router. For me there's very little latency and the audio and video match up fine.

Hi, I keep getting echoes on anything I do, it almost loops any sound when I cast to air receiver. I am using Oculus Quest with Link, virtual desktop, beat saber recording through obs. Please help! I've checked and messed with sound settings but I cant figure it out.

At the time of this review Air Receiver has not been working with Oculus (atleast the original Quest). Does anyone have any alternatives?

Verified on same network for notebook and Quest. Purchased the Air Receiver App as some folks said that solved problem. Turned off Firewall. Still nada. The Air Receiver computer does not show up in the options to cast to in the Quest. Smashing head against the wall now, that doesn't seem to help either.

I'm trying to download the free trial but my laptop isn't showing up as an available device. The only device available is my Desktop PC (which only has a wired connection). The laptop has a strong wifi connection but I can't get the app to download. I even tried to download to my desktop since it was showing up in the available devices, but the download never started. Also, if I win that paddle, it will give me a reason to purchase "Eleven".

On my Oculus Quest 2, the Sound doesn't seem to be transferred to AirReceiver. I've turned on the Audio on the Quest, but no sound appears on the PC. Video footage looks great, tho.

Sorry for posting this here but its the most resent video and i know you talk about problems and trouble shooting with the quest. Has anyone experinced there quest going dead and then constantly trying to startup when you plug it in i experinced this a month after i got my quest and the company sent me a new power block and it was fixed for a while but only yesterday the same thing happened and charging it off the pc worked but now my quest turns on and off constantly and it wont stop it wont stay on more then a few seconds before it shuts off again. I went and factory reset it and still has the same problem. I think the powerbutton is stuck it physically isnt but i think it has a short or something. But i wanted to check here in case someone else had the issue and it was some type of app or software issue with the quest. Ive already opened a support claim but i dont expect any feedback anytime soon ive also had it for 7 months so im not sure if its under warranty or not.

when i put it into obs studio it just shows black even though air receiver shows the video. also the audio has a noticeable delay that's not in your video
