Jonathan Bailey was simply AMAZING! The entire cast is incredible. It's Sondheim! It doesn't get any better than this and the Olivier Awards proved it!

I flew from Chicago, specifically to see this show. It was a stunning performance from each performer. I’ll never forget that evening. Thank you cast of “Company”, for such a beautiful performance.

There are some interesting ideas brought up by this production, but I just don't get why they went through such pains to make Bobbi as straight as possible. I think it makes a lot of the dialogue and character dynamics not make much sense.

Oh, spare me. Make a woman the lead and the show is suddenly "relevant", "up-to-date" and a revelation. A woman having casual sex is liberating and relatable and sympathetic, but the male version of that character doing exactly the same is icky. And on and on. There's a word for this, and it's sexism. I know every show gets marketed these days as though it's completely re-invented everything about theatre, but Company in it's day was truly revolutionary. And trying to pretend a few gender switches and a gay marriage (already totally commonplace in all kinds of drama and comedy in 2019) is somehow more revolutionary is just laughable. I guess you can convince actors to say and believe anything, but they really do make nongs of themselves here.

Also, the notion that Getting Married Today is equally valid with a gay couple is patently nonsense. After fighting for years for marriage equality, and with still a degree of opposition to gay marriages, gay men do not approach marriage in the same way as heterosexual men - i.e. with a certain pressure that it's something you should do, but that it means giving up freedoms and changing your life completely. None of that is true for gay couples, so a gay guy having a nervous meltdown about all those things before his wedding is seriously questionable. It's possible, but it's hardly representative. Almost all gay couples know they're privileged to have the right that previous gays were denied.

@@joshdrayton1230 You're the strange simultaneous embodiment of both male privilege and toxic masculinity, along with thinking that millions of people all believe and act the same. Take your angry bitterness somewhere where it's appreciated - like a "men's right's" support group. There's a word for this: and it's bull$#!+.

A woman having casual sex is not seen as a positive thing at all! There’s so much talk about body count and a woman’s can never be a high number but it’s totally fine for men. I completely agree with them that it makes much more sense for a woman to play the lead!
