Last week I spent a delightful Sunday in Castellina in Chianti, visiting both the town and a couple of Etruscan sites. Unfortunately the archeological museum and the tower were closed (our fault, we had not checked in advance. If you want to visit them, check in advance), but still we had a wonderful experience. The town is truly fascinating, especially the covered passage along the old walls.

The Etruscan sites were so exciting; it was incredible to be able to visit places where people lived and did their own thing many centuries ago. I've always had an interest in archeology, and both places were super fascinating and super close to Castellina.
