These dyes allow you to make many different color options for your custom castings. The smooth on 325, 326, and 327 series will be clear with a slight yellow tint without dye or pigment added.
In this video, we are casting with Smooth on Smoothcast 326 in a homemade silicone rubber mold. This is an easy way to make custom hard plastic parts at home. The silicone used was Smooth-on Mold Star 15 slow. With Smoothcast 325, 326 or 327, the parts will be relatively bubble free, even without vacuuming the resin, or using a pressure pot to cast. The pot life on smoothcast 326 is one 9 minutes and it will cure in one hour at 73°F. This process is a great way to prototype or for low volume manufacturing.
