This walk was recorded 2nd April 2021. England was in lockdown and people were permitted to go out for one piece of exercise a day. No travel restrictions were breached while filming this video.

Hello, I hope you enjoy this calm relaxing video. Today we are walking through Castle Combe. The village is in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, located in South-West England, within the county of Witshire. Castle Combe is often referred to as a quintessential English village or - the prettiest village in England. Castle Combe has 107 listed buildings for architectural and historical interest. The village is named after a 12th-century castle that once stood nearby.
It is very quiet this morning, we don’t see or pass anyone. We follow the main road (The Street) through the village and back. The overcast sky makes the sandstone brick of the buildings stand out. We see and hear lots of birds singing and chattering. We also pass over and walk along the small river “By Brook”. Castle Combe has been used as a filming location for Doctor Dolittle (1967), Stardust (2008), Spielberg’s War Horse (2011) and Downton Abbey (2010-15).
If you have never been to Castle Combe I hope this video helps you feel a little closer to it. Please sit back, relax and enjoy this video. Adam

This is my most favorite place in the world. Every time I visit the UK I try to visit Castle Combe. For our 25 year anniversary, my husband and I renewed our wedding vows at the Manor house back in 2017.

Ahh! must have missed this one Adam. My daughter and I used to frequent this lovely village for afternoon tea in the hotel just in the square. We picked cowslips in the Spring (now allowed now!) and took a lovely long walk starting at the bottom of the village, to the left. Not sure where it led but we loved to shuffle through the leaves in our wellies, breathing out damp air ready for another cup of tea!!

This place is beautiful even in it's winter time, you’ve definitely not found a better place. I don’t know if anyone would believe how many more people live and work so close to me that I can walk to the shops in the mornings.

WOW Adam, yet ANOTHER beautiful video! I have seen many videos of Castle Combe and other places here in the South West, but yours are the best! Some others have annoying commentary or loud music but yours are perfect! I only found your channel 2 days ago, so now I am working my way through all of your videos. Something I noticed though which you may not be aware of, but did you know that in the closed captions, and in your write up that you have written "War House" instead of War Horse" ... That is not in any way a criticism, far from it. Cheers, all the best.

I'm not sure what device you use, on some TVs and laptops you can change the size and colour of captioned text in the KZfaq settings, I think it may be a standard size on phones. Thank you for watching.
