First "phantom" I saw looked like an ordinary girl, but dressed in rather old-fashioned American clothes (San Rafael, CA). I have felt the presence (in a Victorian hotel in Suva, Fiji) of something watching me - and to go to the restroom at the end of the hall I had to have my fiance walk me down and wait outside the door . Later on the porch of the lovely hotel local men told us, laughing, that spirits were everywhere i Fiji - no worries. A few years ago in Northern California, I saw a Native American man, dressed in buckskin pants and jacket, running very fast and a little above the ground rush past my eyes as I did dishes and looked out into the beautiful grounds.........this cabin on sacred Indian land was burned to nothing in the recent DEW fires. I've never seen a "ghosts" - these looked very alive, just a bit "off". cheers

This is one of my favorite programs of all time! Can't believe I grew up watching this obsessively and can now say about Sudeley Castle: "I've been there"! Such a beautiful place and so much serious history in there. There is a lace christening net, woven for baby Elizabeth I by Anne Boleyn and her ladies for heaven's sake! But man, I absolutely hated Thomas Seymour by the end of that tour! He deserved what he got. Conniving fool.

I visited Hever Castle, once home to the Boleyn family, about 5 years ago and stayed in the luxury B&B in the castle grounds. If you stayed there you could walk around the castle gardens before they were opened to the public. I walked from the castle entrance along a path straight in front and climbed steps leading up to a grassy area with a tree. When I stood and looked around I suddenly felt a presence and felt Anne Boleyn there. It was a very strange feeling and one I didn’t feel anywhere else around the castle. When I got down to the lake and saw an old map of the area I noticed the place where I felt Anne’s presence was the start of a path called ‘Anne Boleyns Walk’. I don’t know if it was coincidence or if the name is something to do with where she used to walk but it was weird.

That Leap Castle episode was terrifying! The elemental stuck with me for ages, and I believe I have since seen one myself (the only paranormal thing I've ever seen with my own eyes). Honestly, the creature from Castle Ghosts of Ireland is the closest thing I can compare it to. It was in a remote ghost town around 2:30am, standing on two legs in a ditch. It had disgustingly matted, blackish brown hair or fur, was about 5'0 tall, using its front limbs like there were hands attached and not paws, and it had absolutely no muzzle. The face was utterly flat, and there was no mouth or nose visible. It was just this ill shapen mass of black fur with a featureless face and cliche, glowing red eyes. Three of us saw it and none could identify the creature - even though we nearly came to a dead stop in the car to look at it. It wasn't fazed by us or the car at all, and only stared calmly as we passed. Even though the eyes were glowing on their own, we tried to debunk it as eyeshine from our headlights, but only a type of heron has a red eyeshine. This was no bird. I am a great lover of animals, and a student of physical anthropology, and I still could not make this creature make sense in my mind. It felt very, very negative as well and I have never been frightened of a mere animal. I will never forget what we saw that night, and that elemental from that show is the closest description to what we witnessed. The area it was in seemed utterly fitting as well. Can't believe the only thing I've ever seen with my own eyes was this hideous, bizarre thing.

@@patricew.4010 Yup which is why King Henry VIII's only legitimate son was chosen to be king way before his daughters got the chance. King Henry VIII from what I had heard had a few illegitimate children. I think one of them was a son by Anne Bolynn's sister. Most of his kids were either stillborn, miscarried, or nothing but false pregnancies. Mary I even wanted to secure her reign by having a son so that she could prevent her younger half sister from taking her throne. But because of the poor living standards back then, she got screwed over.

Pinup Charmer, In history the heir to the throne had to be male, but it was not obligatory, a female could become the heir to the throne as is the case of Elizabeth 1st and Mary and Elizabeth II, Obviously every king wanted a male heir. Henry wanted a male heir but couldn't, he was a nasty piece of work and didn't want a woman that couldn't give birth to a child, hence invented the protestant religion so he could divorce or just behead them as traitors

I live in England also and I went there at Muncaster Castle, suddenly while I'm walking alone at night time that I think that was 12:00 in midnight, I saw a white lady on the corner and so I'm very very terrified...and sooooo horrific!!! I think that was 8 years ago when I was 16 years old!!

Been there myself. I bet her white substance was too ghoulish to look at. White spirits can be equally as ghoulish as jet black spirits. They are different types of spirits. They lack colours, when they look so ghoulish like that, but not all ghosts look like that. I had seen them myself. The most beautiful spirits are heavenly types, but they are rare on earth. They have the most beautiful colours that glow like stainglass windows on the sunniest days. They have beautiful souls and beautiful personalities. I saw such two and one of them was of a very beautiful lady who thanked me for what I had done for her bedridden daughter who was nearing 90 at the time. She was the beautiful kind of ghost who could put anybody at ease and make one feel at home with her. She has such warm manners that you wouldn't at all mind her haunting at your home. The other ghost was my late grandfather. He came to check on me after I had sustained injuries.

There is one most regular ghost in my life. It is one that I never see. He never reveals his appearance to me and never his name. He is the one spirit who most watches over me. He has numerous times saved my life from various dangers. He freed me from first demonic attacks. He came in response to my prayers for deliverance and has been with me ever since. I awoke one night to find a demon in a room. He looked so ghoulish that I had to shut my eyes tight and look no more. With my eyes still shut, I prayed during demonic attacks, my way to defy a demon. Too afraid to open my eyes, I sensed a second spirit in the room. He freed me from the demon's clutches and swiftly returned me to sleep as I was that afraid of hauntings. From that night onwards, this second spirit has stayed with me and kept me safe from many dangers like crimes, few heart attacks, fire, choking, etc. He is ever the quietest ghost in my life as he makes no foot sounds. I have long believed he is my guardian.

@@deb-1558 I agree, I've also seen it attributed to someone else. Doesn't look anything like the other portraits of Catherine and the cap she's wearing is I think of a later date anyway. The details of Anne Boleyn's execution are not quite correct too - she did not request a swordsman from Calais; Henry had already sent for him before her sentence was passed!

Hardy, aged 6, saw a grey lady standing silent outside his bedroom door. My daughter, aged 6, casually mentioned a lady who been sitting at the bottom of her bed. It happened on the day that happened to be my late mother's birthday. My daughter didn't know that as we hadn't been talking about it. Following year similar thing happened on the same date. Again, we hadn't been speaking about the significance of the day. As my daughter got older I used to tease her about the looming date but, no more sightings.
