The Castle Kapfenburg or locally known as Schloss Kapfenburg, is one of the most famous castles located near the town of Lauchheim in Ostalb District, southern State of Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
The Castle was built in the 12th Century A.D. and has transferred between the hands of many Kings. Amongst others it has been part of the famous 30 Years war, was also a Knights templar Castle and was used for the training of the Knights to be prepared for the Crusades in Middle Eastern World.
From the 15th right into the 19th Century it had a Brewery of its own on Campus. Currently it hosts the Heimatmuseum displaying the rich artifacts of not just the Castle but also of the surrounding villages and towns.
Its highly recommended that you visit this beautiful fairytale Castle located on the Mountains of Swabian Alps in Ostalb Region of South Germany.

Thank you for this. I have been twice here. Very nice. I believe it was built by German Knights who became Knights when they were in Jerusalem from the days of the crusaders. I believe.

Hi Vicken, Thank you for the appreciation of my video. It is a beautiful castle and my personal favourite near my hometown of Aalen in south germany. You are absolutely right. The castle was indeed built by Knights in the 12th Century during the crusades.

This is a castle that is located near my hometown in Germany (Aalen), on top of the foothills of Swabian Alps Mountain range. The Castle was built in 12th Century AD and has been part of may battles. It is currently a location for Music concerts, hosts a hotel, a restaurant and a music school. I am also definitely going to write a blog on this really soon. So there will be detailed information in that one as well. Also read below the KZfaq Video, I have tried to give a lot of Information at the bottom of the video.
