The song's title describes the situation all to well as Albus struggles to regain control of himself, begging Shanoa to kill him as the sorrowful tones play at a fast pace, keeping you on your toes while you as the player try your best to put this broken man out of his misery. Albus was a good man, he deserved better

It was just last week that I was listening to different arrangements of Dance of Illusions, and I was hoping you would some day make your own version. Little did I know I did not have to wait long! It's amazing! And I am so glad you used the Dawn of Sorrow version with the epic intro!

The original version is actually from Rondo of Blood. Because SotN's prologue is the end of Rondo they used the song there.
