In this video, I show the methods and location for obtaining the 3 "swing while moving" weapons in Symphony of the Night, 2 of which are the most powerful weapons in the game!

I just replayed it after 26 years. And still is incredibly smooth, fast, enjoyable precise. It certanely pass the test of time. Masterpiece.

Heaven's Sword: attack while moving, high damage, very good range, and best of all, you can get it in the normal Clock Tower. The functionality of this weapon outclasses a lot of other gear until you get the Crissaegrim.

and you can equip two Heaven's Sword alternating attacks getting much faster and stronger and you can make a special attack pressing both buttons at the same time, this secret is amazing!

Crissaegrim is absolutely nutty. It was nerfed for Aria of Sorrow as Valmanway. The reason it was so broken wasn’t the attack speed but the fact that it did comparable damage to regular swords per hit and the other thing is overlooked and that’s the range. The fact it has a God Tier DPS speed, you add the high damage and the range just makes this thing untouchable. Side note, there is one weapon in another game that makes even Crissaegrim seem balanced by comparison and that is the Chicago Typewriter in Resident Evil 4. Nothing even comes close to this thing. It’s broken for all the same reasons as Crissaegrim. High Damage per single hit, very fast rate of Fire etc. but what puts it over is the fact that 1. It has zero damage falloff 2. It can be aimed at crits 3. For as fast as it shoots, it’s extremely stable. When you find the first magnum in RE4 non upgraded it has a damage value of 13 per hit(the starting handgun has a value of 1) and it has a slow rate of Fire as a high damage magnum. The Chicago Typewriter has a value of 10 per hit… that it melts enemies with at 600rpm and you don’t need to ever reload the gun unless you want to see the animation.

Oh, I remember the Chicago Typewriter well! It's one of the unlocks that is sort of a "congrats on finishing everything else; here, take this and finish the game in 30 mins!

Actually There is a even more broken weapon in re4. If you finish the game on professional , you get a gun that simply kills all enemies in the screen

AYOOO‼️I was grinding for the crissagrim in the room. And I looked up your video as I was grinding for the weapon making sure I was doing it right and efficiently. And as I go back to grinding for the weapon it spawns after watching ur video 🤣

I disagree.. Personally, I was terrible at this game the first time I played it died all the time and then I got the Crissaegrim by chance and never stopped using it. I was finally the most powerful dude in the castle and it felt amazing lol

Not as broken as the Crissaegrim in terms of damage, but it's just as disgusting with it's Soul Steal-like health draining ability is the Mourneblade at least with something like the Muramasa, it's healing only working with bleeding targets, the Mourneblade works on EVERYTHING, _and_ stacks with Dark Metamorphisis I always equip the Crissaegrim and Mourneblade as my end game weapons, it's just too good to pass up. Like any time something huts you, you can immediately heal the damage back. It's so disgusting but I love it

I love the holbein dagger. Even though the range is bad, it attacks insanely fast and does really good damage.

I always try for dual wielding crissaegrims simply because it allows me to play the game on easy mode. Also too, it is so damn satisfying mowing down enemies that were a PITA before. Oh, what's that? You're gonna jump around and be annoying and hit me from above? Not with my buzzsaw swords!

Shield rod in general with a lot of the shields breaks the game. I love skull shield and shield rod. “ IM UH FIRIN MY LAZZZERRRR”

Never tried to get any of them, though this is the first time learning about the dagger. I like to think the holbien dagger would have been a good drop for the first castle.

Agreed. The power level of it isn't game-breaking like the other two (though when used properly it can wreck), and it has a cool-looking visual effect, which would be a nice treat in the first castle which doesn't have the flashiest weaponry.

I farmed Schmoo's 200 times in a row at another spot. Nothing. When to that spot in the video and got Crissaegrim 4th try. Bang. I got it before the very very last boss, Dracula. I would personally recommend against it as it turns the game into a complete joke. I killed the final boss with it in about 10 seconds. That's like turning James Bond's sworn arch nemesis into a 8 year old. Not very exciting.

Grats on the pickup! Glad the video helped! Also,I agree with you; the Criss is best left un-farmed if one wants to derive ANY challenge or fun from this game. That's why I mentioned it in the video (even the Vorpal Blade makes the game too easy), though the urge to collect is difficult to resist. If you dual-wield Criss's, Drac dies in about 1.5 seconds! Total cheat-mode.

what's the button key's for the special attack of swords sir?

Platforms vary, but on the PS1 version, weapon specials typical involve a Down->direction you are facing quarter (or sometimes half circle) press on the D-pad -> square button. That isn't universal, but is pretty typical.

Crissaegrim, Vorpal Sword and Holbien Dagger: "attacking while moving, huh we are awesome". Heaven Sword, Yasutsuna and Rune Sword: "How about us?" Especially Heaven Sword if you equip it in both hands. Secret will happen.

There certainly are a plethora of powerful weapons in SotN! I even dig a few of the Katanas and the Moon Rod is my favorite weapon in the game.

It was funny for me that as soon as I found the schmoo and lions room on my most recent play through from scratch I got fist of Tulkas crissagram right away. I didn’t even run luck gear. I just used whatever . I did beat Dracula with richter with no sub weapons and didn’t get hit was the only thing that effected how my Alucard started because it was my first time beating sotn on the ps5 from the requiem. I prefer the originals voice acting 😅

@@genomegaming2296 I did it! Had to complete the game and have a 'CLEAR' game on the same memory card I was playing a game on. I also equiped the Alucard Sword, Shield and Mail as well as the Ring of Varda, Ring of Arcana. Not sure if all of those items were required but all of that worked!

@@Doshinkyo I got the sword without the clear save file. The only items I know that needed a clear save game file to be available is the duplicator and the ring of Varda

Grab rings of arcana and use Luck Potions. You can get them on your first playthrough. The only piece of equipment you can't get until you complete your playthrough is the ring of varda. It is absolutely nuts. +10 to every stat.

You know, I should do a video on that, heh. Once you get the Gravity Boots, go to the Library (if memory serves, this has to be done in the first castle library but it has been a while). Take the bottom route in the library all the way to the end where you wind up in the room underneath the Librarian. There is a hole directly under him that his chair is sitting on. Super Jump into him repeatedly, knocking him into the air (you can chain them without touching the ground if you are quick). Eventually, the Dracula Tunic will drop from him. Pretty sure the number of bounces is random. Hope this helps!

First of all... i obsessively played this game. I ran this shit through the gamut. Even got me the The crissagim. Long long after I beat Dracula. And yeah, Dracula and Shaft were a cakewalk with that sword.

Yeah, while these kinds of weapons are fun at first, they make the game a joke once acquired. Seriously, with the Cris and a tab bit of leveling/gearing, Drac doesn't even last 6 seconds.

Used to play this a lot. While I never got everything in the game I did beat it and got most the stuff. I did not have a guide so all trial and error. I honestly am glad I never did try to use a guide. For sure those items would make the game a snoozefest.

Not using a guide and obtaining broken weapons is certainly a way to keep a game more fun!
