Another Awesome Vlog Andrew! In your First KK Hand, I would Have Continuation bet the flop like you did, but check-fold the turn. You got called in two spots on flop,...that turn card brought certain doom,..if not cards on the flop. Keep it up brother!

SilverShrimp TX so you are going to check/ fold turn because you think players are cold calling preflop 4bets from early position with, 4 7, 7 9? Those are the only hands that improve on turn? Q8 I guess? But that's a stretch

Andrew your videos are starting to reach a level of stardom. The quality on them is insane. From the drone shots of the city, to the commentating of hands to even small stuff like transitioning and music. Been here from 200 subs to now and you are headed to a big place on this platform. Keep up the good work and I will continue to be a fan! Amazing job with this channel Andrew!!!! Would love to meet you one day, I'm also from Las Vegas and am continuing to pursue poker and grinding 1/2 right now!!

jonathan wilson You probably won't meet Andrew if you play 1/2 as most of the 1/2 venues don't have bigger games. However if you step it up just $1 to 1/3 you can't not bump into Andrew. I see the guy like every week at the Bellagio. The difference between the 1/2 and 1/3 in Las Vegas is pretty negligible btw, if you win at 1/2 you'll win at 1/3. Most places that run 1/3 have a lower overall "rake" as they don't drop the extra $2 for jackpots. That actually helps out your hourly rate quite a lot. Usually about +$4 per hour. That makes up for the $50 promotional value you might have won with quads very quickly.

Great vlog Andrew. On that first KK hand, I think you could be checking flop if you were HU there with having the K of spades. However, multiway, thats always a cbet on that flop, jam turn. (As you played it) Most hands that call on that flop in a 4bet pot are AQ (maybe KQ suited) and spade draws. Q8, 79, 47 are never ever in their range. Sets are usually raising that flop due to the flush draw. 66 played the hand well by not raising flop (however, risky considering action killing spades on turn), just an unfortunate situation for you. Even if you decided to check flop, the same result would have most likely happened.

Andrew, you Legend! Hand no 2, id still like to see you mix some checks in this spot to balance since it is fairly connected, but as played , a fold on turn seems fine. Hand 3, played perfectly. Hand 4, flop and turn seem ok, rather you not have his range of cards, river (Player dependent) seems fine. Love ur analysis after this hand. Hand 5, was thinking why only half pot turn and then wallah! You give a rational explanation. As played lost the minimum. Last hand (Q9d), seems stanard, but because its you..... Genius! Keep up the good work

Hi Andrew, Amazing vlog, as always. 830 - that was one LONG session. #1st KK hand - pretty brutal, but we have to basically check everything on that board. #QTo triple barrel - maybe we can size down on the river as it's pretty clear that our opponent is chasing a draw and has missed. If he has a pair, he will call no matter what - and we lose less. Getting unstuck after losing that 1st hand is amazing. Cheers!

Absolute bullshit. No way in hell is that ever a check flop with Kk. By checking flop , you are allowing an abundance of hands to catch up. Make the draws pay! Get 3 street of value from AQ, Qx. Yes he had a set, but that's extremely rare and I feel like you and the analyzers are being a bit results oriented. Like Doug Polk said, "sometimes it's just your time to die" checking that flop with KK is exploitable and -ev in my opinion. Thank you so much for these amazing vlogs. You are the king.
@russ33c1
@russ33c1 7 жыл бұрын
Also your flop value betting range is not small. The only hands that beat you are flopped sets! Unless you think players are cold calling 4 bets with q5? Q6? 65?
@coreycunningham1783
@coreycunningham1783 7 жыл бұрын
Russell Clifford I don't think you understand what value ranges mean.
@opom
@opom 7 жыл бұрын
I agree with your first post, but the second post contains a misunderstanding. His value betting range is small, meaning he has KQs, AQs and better hands in this spot (plus a couple of semibluffs like AKs), which greatly reduces the hands that he can get value from (worse made hands than his), at least in theory, assuming that he isn't playing against total droolers who'll call down 3 streets with QJ/TT/JJ etc. So by betting flop he narrows their range so significantly, that the turn becomes a bad spot especially out of position facing two opponents. There are no worse value hands that can call the turn bet, except for maybe AQ (we block KQ heavyily). So either we get snapped by a set or price out draws.

Unexpectedly his vlog attracts numerous groupies as well as a British man named Phil Philpot who decides to move to John’s city and emulate his life. Hilarity and poker ensue! really good video. I think what impresses me with your game is when you manage to book wins when a lot of people me included would go on monkey tilt with the start you had. This video really does show how important being level headed is as a poker player.Really well played andrew

I make a personal holiday when your Vlog comes out. I quarantine everyone in a room that doesn't let in any sound. I close the windows, blinds, doors, and black it all out. Ritualistically set up my lap-top, and light candles around.. When your opponent wins the pot there's no reactions allowed, but if they don't go nuts for you when you take it down, I get mad at the crowd, and i kick them all out..

"something very insightful and thoughtful..." - yeah, at 8:30 in the morning after an all nighter, that's about as insightful as it gets! Nicely done getting #AllTheWayUnstuck - still seriously think a hat w/ that on it should be in the works!

and thats why you get the big bucks... (eventually ).. love the play by play,, and, how you face the game, after some horrendous luck with KKs.. keep your mindset in the right zone, and dont abandon your play style. Which ends up being, a winning session..

If we are checking the first KK are we also checking second KK on that flop too? I think value betting is most important. Maybe check call turn then reevaluate, but not flop. Again, we know the results. While watching video it seemed everything was correct. Love your videos!!!!

I think the three barrel w Q 10 is okay. The queen being a club is bad, but I actually think you want the 10 because it makes it less likely your opponent has J 10 or 10 7 (hands you're actually beating) so bluffing makes more sense IMO.

So with the pocket Ks, where you run into the set... what do you think is the better line to take? I think $1k deep it would be ok to just bet and shove turn (like you did), but $1500 deep- is it just a spot to check call two streets and probably check fold to a shove on the river?

I just registered for an online poker tournament... Believe it or not, while you just finished talking about the 66 vs KK hand then I look over at the tournament and am blown away at the fact that a 66 vs KK hand is going on while you talked about that hand and KK wins. both players were all in.
