Funny story: I have long dark hair and I used to own a black faux fur vest. One day I put it on and my husband called me “Cher”. I couldn’t unsee it after that and had to donate the vest. I love Cher, but not enough to be called Cher. 😂 Maybe a different color…?

I love how you put straight leg jeans with oversized sweater v. skinnies. I have the same challenge. My legs are too skinny for skinnies or I would wear them more

Thanks for this video. I'm starting to pack for a get together with family and you've inspired me to step up some of my outfits. I loved the cropped jacket with the maxi on you, but might not work for some. I have an ivory faux suede like vest that I decided to pull out of the closet and pack for my trip. The sweater dress with the blazer just shouldn't work. AND YET it is the best outfit of the entire haul!! It works beautifully! It feels like such an oxymoron of an outfit but I just really love the contrast of it. Cute fur vest by the way. Fur vests seem to have lost popularity this year but I still think they are a great piece and useful for the days where it's cool but not overly cold

When I am all bundled up in really cold weather I like to use a long sleeveless cardigan because it lengthens my line which suggests I am taller and not like a bundled up suet pudding. I am slim but even so!!! So cosy.

I would love a little more detail on how you would wear tights. You mentioned putting tights with the pink dress. What color and what shoes? Can you put an outfit on and share how you would do it?

Salmon pink is a gorgeous color on you! Also love the softer beiges/ivories. Combined with the pop of pink looks amazzing :D Winter White is always so fresh looking for the holidays. I love soft whites but always fear wearing it for fear of food stains, especially during holiday festivities which center around eating/drinking & being merry 😊 Edit: I prefer shorter jackets/sweaters with anything maxi or extremely high waisted trousers/pants. (I avoid anything too boxy or oversized on top since I'm already top heavy) It's that 1/3 to 2/3 proportion that makes it work. In design, the rule of thirds really works. 2/5 to 3/5 also works. This is why front tucking is so flattering. It adds some waist definition & gives a good proportional balance.

Loved the maxi dress with the cropped blazer, also the faux fur vest and pink dress .❤ I don't know if it's because my go to has been jeans and yoga pants for every day, but i won't wear jeans to even a casual party. It's the opportunity to pull out nicer pants or a dress. I also have a black maxi dress, and wouldn't have thought of a blazer over it. Good tips!

I liked all of the outfits except the light jeans with the faux fur vest. a little too 60's for me. The cropped jacket over the maxi dress was good as would a short vest with sutashe braid. I am a fan of "short over long".

I’m a big sucker for polka dots whether it’s a dress, skirt or blouse! 😅 I would pair that faux fur vest with a long gold necklace ❤. That glitter bomber jacket would shine even more paired with a navy or black shirt. I got an olive sweater dress from Amazon in early December ❤ but that pink sweater dress is a pretty color on you Jamie!

A couple ideas of things you can wear w the black maxi dress for the holidays: a Christmas graphic T, maybe oversize and knotted, a cropped sweater vest, or a white button-down blouse knotted at the waist. I love your faux fur vest - very cute w everything! And the sequin bomber jacket is 🔥

I loved the combo of your new peachy pink sweater dress with faux fur vest & tall boots! I totally get your “discomfort”with the fitted sweater dress unless you have some layer over it. The fur vest was perfect. Such an unusual color combo but it totally worked especially on you!! Now you just need to find the right little purse for that outfit! It’s probably hiding in your closet!

My favorite outfit in this video was your dressy blouse with the dots and the dark jeans! You looked so pretty in that outfit. I have always loved the look of dressy tops with dark jeans, so I would definitely be wearing that. Loved the sequined bomber jacket with the jeans too. The fur vest was great with everything you paired with it. The only thing I honestly did not care for was the plaid jacket with the sweater dress. To me it was just too boxy looking for your small frame even with belt. I did like the cropped jacket with the maxi dress a lot!

Thxs for all the ideas ! I went to a casual event at someone’s house & wore a sparkly top with jeans & boots. What I was surprised by is that none of the women there was even dressed for the Christmas season (red, sparkle, festive) Everyone was just wearing their regular clothes without anything different. I’m older and I like to take in the season & feel festive. I just want to look nice occasionally other than my everyday look but even everyday I try to look somewhat nice but casual . Do you think the trend for people is it’s just not that important to them anymore ? The age group ? even some of the men dressed nicer.. thxs for your videos I for one learn from you .🎄Merry Christmas 🎄
