Cat 5 Beginner Race - Kensington

Күн бұрынThis was my first attempt at a road race. I have ridden in group rides and a couple of gravel races, but never at the speeds of an actual road race. I also added a power meter metric to the video to help gauge the effort.

I moved to redford last year and kensington and island lake is my main training route with shortest driving distance (road, gravel, mtb). Hines drive is shorter drive but road quality is horrible. You still can put a lot of watt after all those effort that's impressive

Nice job. Good video. The guy in the blue jersey has a pretty obvious bike fit issue, hope he gets that fixed.

You have to learn to draft better, it will help you recover better so you can put in efforts that don't hurt so bad. Also I would advise to race a little selfish sometimes, only pull when you can get a benefit. Good luck, it is fun watching you!

Nice job! Be careful crossing that center line in an open road course. That could end badly😉

It had been shared on one of the Michigan Cycling Facebook groups. I can't recall which one exactly. Definitely a good time!

Your fitness will determine what category you are. Zwift will tell you by your FTP what category you are.
