I personally hate machines that have the FNR switch on the loader lever. Makes it much more complicated when using a side dump bucket backfilling utility trenches. Leave the lever on the left side of the steering column.

I know on some cats still they have both functions on the machine which is super nice for any operation for preference

Get the 920 in the same pile as the 95 was working.

Don’t have it on video however the 920 working in conditioned stock piled dirt with a dozer(so a bit of compaction) still had better break out force and arms did not give way. Breaking through the pile was still much easier. Plus I would only have to fuel up the machine every 12 hours not 8-9 hours like the 95 needed to. 95 just was not a “production” machine like the 920 was. However still much more stable of a machine on off camber work zones. Again this is my over all opinion with the two machines I always best recommend to try them yourself for your best option for the work you need it to perform

9:00 with the breakout force pulling the loader arm down my bosses tl140 skid steer does that as well I figured his was just beat to shit which it is but maybe it’s a tak thing

Just to be fair a 914 or even a 910 would have been a better comparison. The 920 is a larger class machine, also this is Cat's newest wheel loader, it took the place of the 918M. Also keep in mind that Takeuchi TW95 is a older design wheel loader, which Takeuchi does not even manufacturer, they reband the loader from a German company name Atlas. They only sell a hand full of these machines each year so it's not going to be the best performing machine. Sure if they were selling the way the Compact Track Loader sold it would be a different ball game. But yes if you need a wheel loader to perform ever day the Takeuchi definitely wouldn't be the first choice.

Yup I said that in the video, not a fair comparison however between the bucket size and capabilities they should be able to handle their own weight. Which the 95 couldn’t do well in break out strength on the loader arms. The 918 is a near direct competition for the 95 but it’s no longer being made. Regardless I have my r630 wheels loader and that one doesn’t run out of power for it’s sized bucket

I completely understand where you’re coming from. I can see the 95 being good for a farmer or ranch hand but not in my world production is nearly everything

I don't recall you saying it but the CAT looks like the bucket is smaller in comparison. How big are the buckets on each machine?

I should of recorded the tags on the buckets but the Takeuchi had a 2 yards bucket but the looks smaller cause the hight of the machine but it’s a 2.2 yard bucket on it

But the pile you hit with the 920 was loose material ! Granted the CAT will be a better functioning machine

Yes it was, I didn’t bring that up cause there wasn’t much to debate between the material both where dry dirt didn’t have much binding to both piles. But ya cat was a unit!

CAT 910 is a exact same spec as a TW95. 920 is not a close comparison...

Not just about specs but over all capabilities and machine use. Cat was much more comfortable over all. Been a while since this video however 910-920, either or. The minimal cost difference between the two the cat interface is much better in my eyes. 3k lbs difference is big but it’s more about it being able to carry itself on a job site.
