In this video the operator is making a narrow section one of our haul roads wider. With close up views of the machine operating.

Smaller bites. Ran a couple of these old girls. First was the high horse(turbo charged) with hydraulic dozer. Next was a non turbo with a cable dozer. First one would do about double in a day,,,,especially piling brush. Sweet sound when those old girls were barking. When they got down to blowing smoke rings, time to grab the clutch. Not a lot of electronics, bought the closest was booster cables when the switch was left on,,,ah the good old days.

There was an issue with this machine during this recording and the operator was pushing it hard plus having a good time at our no show event. There is also a shelf of rock that the machine was slipping on.

They were having thermal problems with this machine that is why he was pushing it to the limits.

It is a D339 4 cylinder turbo putting out 180hp

Thermostat on the engine not working? Or operator freezing?

This video was taken at the National Pike Steam Gas and Horse Association in Brownsville, PA. We have two shows every year that we demonstrate historical earthmoving machines, coal mining, steam engines, and farm related equipment all from the past. This is a great show to attend with shade trees, park benches, food and plenty to see. www.nationalpike.com The D7 was having thermal issue so they wanted to load the engine. Note the cardboard around the engine.

I'm pretty sure that is Jim Duffy on his own D7E, he has a well known construction company in his area of PA, and is a very experienced owner and operator of heavy equipment. Dirt cuts harder than sand dunes ashraf.

That is Jim, but I don't think that is his D7. I believe the dozer belongs to Dom. I like to video record Jim at the shows, I know him to be an experience operator and a great person.
