Lackadaisy Pilot was really good, they did a great job on it. Can't wait to see what else is in store for their story.

Mordecai used to work for Atlas so he was hesitant to shoot at Rocky or Ivy. the guy at the end is NOT Atlas, he's a rival rum runner. the style of music used is called 'electro swing', its a massive sub genre of dance music

The comic for it is a prequal to the pilot, so if you want to dive in more, check that out. it's 175 pages.

Prequel by definition is made after an existing work, the comic came first so it's not a prequel, it's just the original story. Also the short is not canon to the comic, there are several aspects that do not line up with the comic. When the season proper starts the pilot will not fit fully into the timeline, as it will be adapting the comic directly.

The music gendre is called electro swing. A mixture of old or new fashioned swing with electronic beat and effects. And on an unrelated note, I really love the lava lamp in the background. ❤

Fun fact, the Miss Duncan that's referenced was a real person, Isadora Duncan, who was a famous dancer and choreographer! Unfortunately it seems her death overshadowed her work 😢

It’s all cats! They’re the stand-ins for humans in this story verse, but you won’t see any domestic cats because that would get confusing. Dogs exist, but as regular dogs.

Ik! I read the comic after watching the pilot and honestly- the pilot makes more sense now. Also i love how they took Rocky's monologue from the comic and put it into the show

Mordecai tried to shoot Rocky but missed because they started steering erratically. He only hesitated when he had a clear shot of Ivy. Also, Mr. Sweet is not Atlas.

@GeanLegaspi-ld1bm I think so, but I believe I was told I am allowed to call him the original name that I gave him if I really wanted to bcuz just because I wasn't the chosen one doesn't mean his name has to be changed after the bad man that the cat owned had to leave.

It really bugs me when reactors just gloss over Rocky's opening ode to the Mississippi River by dismissing it as 'big words;' it's absolutely Shakespearian, if you take the time to listen to it. Also, look at the DETAIL; the guns are so accurate that you can identify them as real firearms, like Mordecai's Colt M1911 pistol, and Serafine's sawed-off Browning Automatic Rifle. Rocky is definitely my favorite character, but I love Ivy's design and Viktor is my new spirit animal. I don't know why you thought it was set in Louisiana; it looked like you saw the title card explaining that it was set in St. Louis. Nicodeme and Serafine may be from the bayou - they have cajun accents - but they're migrants in St. Louis.
