I have to agree with everyone that unless the kitten is not breathing, you should let the mommy cat work her magic & do what she instinctively knows how to care for the kittens during birth.

It's perfectly fine for an owner bonded with their mama cat to help out as much as possible to help expedite the birth and reduce how long their mama cat is in pain, and also because cats birthing is painful and exhausting. If you really love your cat and are bonded with her you would do everything you could to help her through the birthing process. 🥰

I know, I don't know why in lots of these videos the people interfer way to much. You never pull the kitten out of the mother,you can hurt the mom or kitten. Also only beings that give birth to normaly only 1 child at a time, like humans or horses or whatnot can have breach births. Beings that give birth to litters (a bunch of children at a time) don't have breach births cause there are so many in the womb at once positioning don't matter for the birthing. Just to much like work for mother nature to have like 8 babies all lined up neatly like for a fire drill, so it doesn't bother. lol

@@randysalsman6992 Wow you really are misinformed and inexperienced about cat birthing. Cats can often have breach births. It is perfectly fine for an owner bonded to their mama cat to help out as much as possible to reduce the amount of time the cat is in terrible pain, to reduce the chance of a problem happening, to reduce the mama cat's anxiety, to get the kittens airways clean and open asap to avoid all sorts of problems, etc.

I find it so annoying and frustrating that she’s hovering over what the mother cat is instinctively able to do on her own. Wish the owner left them alone!

I agree. I don't like the way the owner intervened at 6:06 - 6:20. It was chaotic and the way she held the cat's two legs and pulled up her tail was rough and aggressive. The mama cat had to move away to a corner to handle her baby in her own way. The subtiltles were just the owner trying to justify why she did what she did. I like the way the mama cat came back to claim her baby. 14:11 was pretty rough too. mama cat was trying to stand up but the owner held her down. She really didn't need that extra help from the owner.

Like how all these owners prevent mom cats from eating their placentas even tho it's highly necessary. Half the reason why kittens end up with issues etc because humans stop the mothers from restoring all their lost nutrients

They aren't doing anything wrong. It is not your cat. The loving, caring, bonded owners can help their cat and their kittens as much as they want to because they are the owners and the cat is bonded to them and wants their help. The negative, anti-animal way you perceive things would mean people who brush their cats or dogs teeth are interfering and forcing their animals to have their teeth brushed, and that they are abusing their animals. You have a really antiquated view of birthing cats that has been proven wrong and not the standard that should be followed. People who socialize their pets, interact with their pets and can easily handle their pets are happier and much more caring and engaged with their, and their pets are much happier too.

All of them are beautiful cats, but try not interfere so much. Cats everyday give birth to healthy kittens in the wild. She’s already provided with a soft birthing area, and she surely doesn’t need a heatlamp touching her head. She may have gotten overheated. Water would be a better solution until birthing is over. ❤

The level of interference during this natural process made me cringe. Why would you put a heat lamp on a cat that is in labor? The mother cat is so anxious that she’s not allowed to do what it instinctively knows it should be doing. Read the room lady. You do not need to break the amniotic sac - the mom is trying to do this by licking it as soon as it comes out, but the mom can’t because your hands are all in the way! Unbelievable.

You should only really touch the kitten or mom if she's having trouble breaking the sack ( if it dosent happen within the first second of being pushed out its fine. Give mom a second, she just pushed something out her uterus) If she's rejecting the kittens, needs food or water or is seeking to be pet for comfort. Cats and dogs stimulate breathing through licking and cleaning. Thats why offspring are born 10-60 minutes apart so mom has time to make sure the babies are all right. Animals arnt like humans, they know what to do and instincts kick in, sometimes first time moms need small assistence but your going overboard in a harmful way.
