Hermione was sick with a cold and although this sounds like hiccups it is really upper respiratory distress. Steam your kitty by taking them into the bathroom(if feral, get the cat in a carrier then bring them in the bathroom) and turn the shower on hot and let the bathroom fill up with steam.DO NOT get the cat wet and call or take the cat to the vet for antibiotics ASAP. UPDATE: June 03, 2014 - Hermione is now available for adoption through Urban Cat Relief in Toronto, Ontario Canada. Please read her bio here www.ucrcats.com/adopt/?cat_id=...
Update: Life is good now that I am no longer frozen but would be so much better if I had a furever home, with friendly kitties like my new foster family. To think I was sick in the bathroom for months and didn't know all the fun I was missing I have alot of catching up to do...Yours Truly Hermione, The Ex-Frozen Cat

Donations to help with the vetting can be made to Upper Bathurst Animal Clinic by phoning their office at 647-350-6666(tell them it is for the mother and daughter left outside to freeze or my name Lilly). The vets office will tell you or I will update when the bill is paid.
Update Feb 10, 2014- Went to the vet to get more antibiotics and have her frostbite looked at. No hair follicles on her head and neck sadly but maybe she will surprise us all and grow all her fluffy fur back. If not, then we will get her a nice hoodie to wear!
Jan 09 2014 UPDATE and welcome to Gizmo's Hotel HERMIONE(named after the movie Harry Potter), the mom left outside to freeze near Bathurst and Sheppard in Toronto in minus 40 degree weather with wind chill. You are safe in my bathroom, wheezing away as I try and get antibiotics into you. With the help of Joanna , my vet and lots of others, you now have a chance at living:) Her leg issues show arthritis and nothing broken. With great sadness, I must report that her daughter who we named Winnie actually was the one who was deathly ill and she passed away because of her illness(so many things were wrong including a swollen deformed tongue preventing her from eating) She is no longer in pain even though it was such a shock:( Donations to help with the vetting can be made to Upper Bathurst Animal Clinic by phoning their office at 647-350-6666(tell them it is for the mother and daughter left outside to freeze or my name Lilly. The vets office will tell you or I will update when the bill is payed. Thanks you Joanna and Alexandra for your donations already and Marie Lynn for the back scratcher/cat petting thingie
Update: Jan 08 2014 They are at my vet and we are waiting for updates.
Email wesearch@rogers.com if you are in the Toronto Area and can help. I will update the video description with updates.
