I haven’t tried the ginger tea, but the 1/4 of a 10mg tablet of regular Pepcid AC and the slippery elm syrup I made are helping. I didn’t use the capsules, but brought 1 tsp of the slippery elm powder to a boil with a cup of water and then simmered for a few minutes. Thank you for all your helpful content! thanks Dr Jones. i've had one of my cats chronically vomiting and I worked out it was from stress. Plus I needed to feed her more frequently. But she went off her food for a couple of days and I thought it might be nausea. So I did my best to give her some ginger tea. I only got about 2mls into her. It might have been enough because next morning she was up ready to eat some breakfast. She has seemed very good for the last few days. No vomiting. :D

We have a picky cat who was vomiting constantly…..we tried the slippery elm and it seem work for a few days. I came across a tip that finally worked, we elevated his food bowl about half n inch. We think this worked because of his larger weight may have been impeding his digestive system. We also changed his food from science diet to tractor supply brand. It’s smaller bits. We literally tried 7 different varieties of cat food, but he’s so picky and finally settled on this one. Also, tractor supply one is much cheaper and grain free 😃.

Just watched your video from four years ago on how to help an aging dog. Our German shepherd Valentine is 11 and she had perianal fistulas. She's on a protocol of supplements and natural remedies but unfortunately needed steroids for about two years. She's down to a half tablet each day and didn't start showing side effects until about Feb this year. A couple of months ago she developed a hygroma so we took her to the vet and he was happy with everything, commented on how well her bum has healed 100% but she's got muscle loss on her back legs. We started her on cod liver oil, that's what the vet suggested, and I'm taking her for short walks most days. On the days we don't go out I do short 5-10 mins bouts of training to keep her active. She gets a joint supplement but I am going to make sure that she's getting enough of the three most important ingredients. She also gets pro biotics, evening primrose oil, vitamin e, zinc and she gets a little salmon oil on her food. Unfortunately it caused her to gain weight so I cut it down to a couple of pumps. She is raw fed as well. Is there anything else that I can do to help build those muscles back up? She's bright and lively and only shows her age at night time, unless food is about! I'm wary of giving her supplements incase they bring back the PF. Any advice would be really appreciated, thanks

Awesome advice to try first, I have used pepcid also before on my pets. Never no more than 3 days, or I take them to my Vet. If they aren't better by then. Good Advice from you here.

I would like to say thank you for your remedies, I’ve use them in few cases for my cats with great success. I have two cats that my kids brought during these past two years; over the Thanksgiving my daughter who’s in college brought three kitties that she’s fostering. The kitties were throwing up and soon enough the five cats were throwing up. Your remedies were amazing, I’ve also used the remedies for cleaning their eyes with great success and would like to emphasize what you do is really appreciated. Thank you

If a cat is vomiting wouldn’t be also diet related? After using some supplements to address this problem it could be wise to transition to a natural diet, no canned or dry food, but this is just my opinion and experience with my own cat, thank you.

Slippery elm bark also helps with weight loss in cats. Problem I have is my cat isn't eating because he is stomach upset so I can t do the slippery elm he is already losing too much weight.

Since I gave her a quarter Tablet 4 days ago she has not been herself at all. She's a neurologic mess and she already has lymphoma she's barely clinging to this world and I'm just really really looking for help. I just spoke with a homeopathic practitioner today and I'm starting some remedies that I was just looking for any hope that I can find because I'm devastated!. Yoooo this helped me so much. I was freakin out. I got 100% pumpkin in a can ginger root and Pepcid. I cut up 1/4 Pepcid into powder and mixed it with a tablespoon of pumpkin and boiled a piece of the ginger in 1cup of water and mixed that with the Pepcid and pumpkin and I ground up a couple pieces of dry cat food for taste . After all that is mixed together I put it in a medicine syringe and put it in the fridge to cool off. Then I gave her alittle at a time and it worked great for her and quick

My 13 year old cat vomits much after eating,like maybe 6 or 7 hours.It's mostly liquidy. It can happen 3 days in a row, then not again for 5 days.He does have kind of very fine white hair.Sometimes it looks like hair in it but not all the time. He also will eat plant leaves and then vomit, because we see the leaf in the vomit!

My little girl has been vomiting since yesterday. I think it might be a furball, she is half tabby half mainecoon. She doesn't have the longer fur a maincoon has on some parts of her body; mostly the tail and her tummy. This is the only time she has done this. Oh and she is refusing food as well.

Moreover, my 10 yrs old cat has lymphomia, did Quimo on him 4 months ago, he reacted well, however, his linfocitos are back/extremely high, his pancreas continues to be in bad shape, his liver is also getting damage and his intestine not performing well. My vet said to put him on COP and to give him CERENIA & ranitidine injections every Tuesday and Fridays indefinetly. Not sure, if this is what I want for my poor Feline Son. The reviews on these drugs are not the best, so, Im extremely stress out and don't know which is the best option for my Cat. I would like to hear/read your thoughts. Please

How has he been since?

My cat Clary Bell is recovering from surgery now, she had to have the UTI crystals cleaned out of her bladder. We tried everything, but nothing worked. Surgery was the only option. She is hurting so bad. No more pain medicine. Dr said she has had to much. She won't hardly eat or drink water. I did try a little honey and she licked up about a teaspoon and it made her feel better. Tomorrow will be the 3rd day after surgery. I got her some cat nip and it seems to help her with the pain and relaxing with no fear. Everytime I try to feed her by pushing down a little chicken, she just growls. I don't know what to do She hasn't pooped in 3 days. She still pees a lot. It takes her a while but she does. She will be 5 years old in June. She has lost several lbs Please do you have any suggestions? Thanks 💕

What if they aren't eating? My cat ate yesterday but threw up twice. Looks like she might have thrown up overnight also. She hasn't eaten since yesterday afternoon. Should I force feed her because I don't want her to go into hepatic lipidosis since she's a large 17 lb cat. I gave her slippery on yesterday half a teaspoon of the powder in some water. Today I gave her slippery elm again and then three or four hours later I gave her a capsule of activated charcoal. She still is not interested in eating. This happened years ago to her and I took her to the vet and the only thing they could find was gas and her intestines so I took her home and gave her one capsule of activated charcoal and she was back to normal but it doesn't appear to be working now.
