I just got a Adalm Pluto SDR and a SDR Play RSP DX, the Pluto is also Good for Transmitting, I use SDR Angel Software on Both of Them,

Thanks Drew, I think I need to work on my video editing skills though, that was only the 2nd time I had used Adobe Elements 14, the last time being for CAT16. There will be a follow up article in CQ-TV soon.

Charles, the "suppressed sideband" you mentioned is the result of IQ imbalance, and it's the quadrature calibration that tries to suppress it.

Yes that is true. I noticed that the unwanted sideband also seems to vary with signal amplitude. I see that Analog Devices have updated their website to include some measured performance figures using a Keysight modulation analyser and the EVM figures and the output power they achieve for 64 QAM are far higher than what I was able to measure so maybe my measuring methodology was wrong. Still at 6 GHz the Pluto is more than capable of driving the 6W surplus PA I have into saturation so I am not too worried about the output power.

What S/W package are you using to display ADALM-PLUTO's signal?

Minitioune vivadatv.com but you can also use a standard satellite set top box or the Long Mynd project github.com/myorangedragon/longmynd

@@G4GUO Thanks for the info. My question is related to the physical interface of the PLUTO. Are you getting the IQ samples of Pluto from the libiio driver on windows or a Linux host and then processing it with S/W to extract DVBS signal?

@@saeedchaudhry2447 This project is transmit only and uses Windows to talk to the Pluto via libiio. I have also done a similar thing in Linux. As far as the host application is concerned libiio looks the same on both platforms.
