I remember when I used to live in England, there was 5 families of us (all asians). We were digging for mussels at a beach where it’s not really known for fishing etc. and all the Caucasians that were sunbathing and swimming were looking at us like are they digging for rocks or something??? Best childhood memory ever

We don't judge Asians here. You should definitely get back to fishing and shelling. My BFF is mien and we love doing stuff like this together!

Nice! Thank you. I grew up eating mussels and I just made myself a Bar Harbor bake (Red Lobster) at home. I never knew how mussels look in the wild so I came to KZfaq and I found your vid. Good job and on point. I love how you explain everything, thank you.

Hello! U did an awesome job presenting the muscles! No one has a right to complain how another chooses to eat their food, I to prefer to taste what it is that I am eating, not smothering it with flavors to hide it’s own flavor. Also, so what if it’s not a big fish, that can be for another day, today was the day for muscles, a way to show others that they r also another food source, showing a way to cook them. If anyone complains, gives u a thumbs down, their loss, because u and others with ur knowledge, others and I gaining this knowledge will not have to depend solely on grocery stores for food. Nature provides a variety of food, and my goal is to learn as much as I can. Thank u

I always like watching these foraging videos but man, the second I ate a mussel from a frozen market make, I hit some CRUNCH and recoiled in annoyance. I would be the most unlucky hunter ever.

Also, what is the white part that sticks to the shell that people don't eat? I was always told that it was the muscle of the mussel🤷🏼‍♀️

Live Free Fish More oh ok.! I’m in Washington state and some of the area looks very similar. I guess I didn’t realize you had the same species of clams and squid on the east coast, I assumed you were on the west cost. You do good work on your channel, I think you’ll grow fast, just keep posting great content.!

I didn't realize that either until someone commented on the squid video saying you guys have the same small squid out there in December! We only get them good in the summer (at least close to shore). Thanks for the compliment! I hope your recovery is going well from the accident.
