I love your videos. I wish most people from South Africa could watch them, especially ladies. They should learn that hard work pays. Seeing husband and wife working like this, should teach them a thing or two. Ladies here cannot even get curtains down to be washed. My next door neighbour waits for husband to return from work ( sometimes two weeks) to let out the chicken. 🤣. She only feeds them. That's it. The rest will be sorted by husband when he comes back. Lol. I love you guys. Your farm. Everything about you. Keep it up.

Very happy that for once your trader was in agreement with the excellent condition of your roosters and hope he gave you a good price per kilo. Very excited with the construction of your new chicken coop as its obvious you are going to allow a slope on the floor of the coop so you can hose off the accumulated chicken poop and thus reduce the possibility of disease's. The big result is also that it will be a permanent structure (like your pig barns) and you will benefits from this for many years. I apologise, you are doing all this hard work with your husband, not me, but it's a good decision, I wish the best results for you.

Well, hello my friend. The weather in September started to be mild, my rose plants started to grow and bloom. When the weather is mild, roses will be beautiful if well cared for. I want to tell you: I hate roosters. When they reach sexual maturity, they stop eating and are only interested in the hen and chase her. Dozens of roosters compete to kill a hen. Almost every day I have to pick up 1 or 2 hens trampled to death by roosters. They drove the whole chicken farm crazy. The rooster chased the hen up and climbed the lychee tree, not daring to go down to the ground. I have to sell all the roosters so I can feel secure. My new chicken coop design is to use chicken manure as organic fertilizer. I find that there is no better organic fertilizer than chicken manure. The design of my chicken coop is also very convenient for cleaning the coop. Building a new chicken coop will take a lot of time and effort. Thank you for helping me with some expenses for the new chicken coop, I really appreciate you. Wishing you health and peace.

In our chicken coop we were lucky enough to get a piece of this black hard plastic stuff that use for underneath large pipe use for gas so if it leaks this plastic piece will catch the gas . So we use it in the coop floor and walls, we just go in and hose it down and the poo and water just slides off outside the coop area and it never touches the ground inside the coop at all, my husband said it the best thing he ever did .oops don't tell the government we took there though away left over pieces. But it seams to me that the rack the chicken stands on is weaved and getting that clean from poo makes the rack impossible to clean with so many nooks and crannys so it breed germs faster. Good luck with the new coop .❤❤❤❤❤❤

Your farm is interesting. I am glad you sold the roosters. Not only are they unproductive but they are a distraction at meal time attacking each other and trying to mount the female. And I think there are more roosters than hens.
