Fowler's Makery and Mischief

Fowler's Makery and Mischief

Жыл бұрын

This is my first time diving for lobsters and it's is exciting, terrifying, and a whole lot of fun! Sarah and I see tons of reef life like sharks, barracudas, and tons of beautiful tropical fish. I grab my spear to catch a sting ray to cook along with stone crab, spiny lobster, and shrimp.

I don’t blame Fowler for being scared of going in the water. I got the heebie jeebies just watching him in that water, especially when he was ok the boat looking at that color. And him getting dragged behind the boat like a lure was hilarious (the water world clip was perfect 🤣)

It’s good practice to leave the stone crab with one claw. Otherwise they just get eaten because they have no defense. Awesome content.

I lived in the keys for like 6 years when I was a kid, and the footage you have of the fish and the water down there is exactly how it was like fishing there as a local. Even the spots none of the tourists go to are rife with fish and life everywhere

Just remember, when swimming in shark country, always swim close to your partner. That way when a shark attacks, there’s only a 50/50 chance it’ll attack you! 😀😀 Maybe next time goggles and a nose plug?

As someone from Kansas who rarely gets to eat fresh lobster, I personally prefer spiny lobster. I’m always amazed at how incredibly cheap lobster is in Central America. We paid $100 for someone to go out, harvest 8 lobsters from the ocean, clean them, and then cook them along with fresh fruit and vegetables.

Great video. Longtime subscriber and an avid fan of all of your team. As someone who was raised in the south, but has roots from Maine (mom is from Maine), I have to agree with you. The Maine lobster is definitely better than their clawless cousins. There’s more meat (tail, claws & the head) not to mention having one broiled properly. As for catching a shark, they are a blast to hook up with, but hard to land. Also try again for the tarpon, they’re a blast as well. Now, for a really great fish, you and your wife should go floundering. A lot of fun and easily done with just two people. Flounder is one of the lightest, flakiest fish you’ll ever eat and with your cooking skills, I’m sure it’ll be delish. Your Florida adventure with your wife has been great to watch, can’t wait for the next part. Thx for sharing.

When ya get in the water from the boat. You have all your gear on and you sit on the side of the boat, then you lean back and fall into the ocean from the sitting position. This makes it so your immediate in action and not struggling with gear in the water. Cool you used a net on the lobsters. I’ve only ever caught them by hand.tarpon is no good for eating, it’s a game fish and anglers go for them for an extraordinary fight. Sarah Is gonna chum the water and test out that life insurance you’ve been talking about 😆stingray and skate are delicious and loaded with cologen. I like it Korean style. Good cardio on this trip. The lobster body is actually delicious and the integral part in bisque and americaine. I like both kinds of lobsters. Naturally being an islander, I’ve grown up on spiny rock lobster. I love your impressions of Sarah, let’s go deeper. There’s a shark😆that’s some good eating guys🐸🍺🔪🔥
