To get a 100% hookup with sheepshead , we brake off a leg from a treble hook so sheepshead can close their mouth during hook set. You can also use a small j hook .

Freeport jetties was a big miss for me but found a nice hidden spot not far away that was a good hit with almost nobody fishing it

Not sure. But the actual bait camp is closed currently. I just pick shrimp up in Galveston before I hit the ferry.

Two very popular places are Seawolf Park and Galveston Fishing Pier. West Bay is good for trout if you don’t mind wading. North Jetty has been pretty good if you want to take the ferry. It all depends on the winds and tides for timing

Thanks man! Day 1 I was using a Shimano Casitas with GLoomis E6X Inshore rod. Day 2 I was using a Chronarch G with a Castaway Skeleton Nano rod. All medium power and live shrimp always cause I’m lazy lol

Were you using live shrimp? Seemed like little croakers and maybe pinfish were constantly stealing bait. Was that an issue for you? Nice content man

Yes! Live shrimp cause I’m lazy haha. A few times it was croakers stealing my bait! But it’s a different kind of pull down so you can usually tell! Glad you enjoyed the video!
