Fun little session trying out a new spot. Not a type of water that i'm used to fishing so it was good to try something new and catch some good fish for a change! hope you enjoy

Nice video again !! I've got a couple of float tubes, best thing ever for exploring those sort of venues !! They're not fast like a kayak but you can easily walk across muddy fields with e'm, perfect for exploring that place. Nice to see your homemade bait seeing some action! Top job fella 👍👍

Nice Video, we have those kinds of "Rivers" in germany too, kann be stunning to catch some big fish in there. Maybe a tipp, try to not hang your lure in your Rodrings, i already broke two ceramic inlays with big baits in there..

Love the paintjob on your custom lure. Very similar to a westin swim I have. Think you have the same one too. I've forgot the name of the pattern but it's very flashy and works so well. Do you crush your barbs on your hooks? Just wondering? You seem to be able to unhook the fish quite easily

That's problem with the drains and rivers out my way, access is poor, even my club waters are overgrown, which area was that, up near Gainsborough??

@@dubmilitia5592 ah right top end of the county, I'm bottom end Bourne area, access is all the same by the looks of it!!! Was nightmare end of summer, the nettles were 6ft tall in places where I fish, least you know their not pressured tho 😂😂😂😂

Simon Huss it's same on my local river.when I was a kid it was easy to fish now it's over grown with balsam n blackberry. It's cos kids n people in general don't go to them places anymore

i live not far from warrington..been here few years....that doesn`t bode well for my future pike fishing sessions then lol...heard the north west isnt blessed with good pike fishing before i moved here.

We're probably better taking measurements of length rather than weight as the pikes condition differs from summer to winter, although it is nice to catch heavy healthy fish.

That's an interesting casting technique, the kinda bow and arrow thing, where did you pick that up? Genuine question. Looks handy for those swims with no back cast options due to trees etc

It's called pitching the Americans do it alot for bass there are tons of how to vids on it just search how to pitch with baitcaster

Nope,they're more active in the Summer,but they're bigger in the Winter.Deadbaiting tends to get the biggies.

I have a quastion. Its any difrents between fluocarbon and the steel end line ? I see alot videos with fluocarbon on the end of line

Yes. The fluor used is 80lb + ( 150lb is better), its thick and causes more resistance in the water and also is less stiff than wire however it still prevents bite offs, once its frayed cut and retye. Wire is more stiff generally, displaces less water so is better for giving jerkbait action and is 100% pike proof. Titanium is hands down the best leader.

You Should have Put a Frog on over that Duck Weed they hide under It and come up and Smash anything coming across It. Nice place for Big Fish.

Nice work! A heads up though that the was a recent spate of foreign anglers raping the fish populations at that spot. The EA as a result banned the fishing and prosecuted anybody who was caught fishing it. I think its only recently that i think they have started to leave it alone, thought id make you aware :) Also there are much bigger to be had there 🤫
