After leaving Cape Eleuthera, we tie up at Hawks Nest Marina in Cat Island. After making some new friends, we leave the island, loaded up with Grouper, Mahi, Tuna and Snapper! We cross the Sound to Georgetown and say goodbye to our crew.

Oooooo noooooo is that Mr. Bill hanging upside down over your helm? The water in the Bahamas is so beautiful. Glad your travels are going well. I can't wait to get back aboard Jetlag. I am currently recovering from another spinal fusion in my neck. Our season here in Ohio is winding down unfortunately.

your vids do a good job of showing cruising without needing 5 star this , luxury that , amenities out the yinyang, people waiting on everything you need. i have felt the boating industry over the last few years has been trying to push that way with marinas trying to follow. its a shame

Next time you get a fish fileted add the head and frame to simmering salted water with a good bit of fresh sliced ginger and in 15 minutes you'll have a delicious fish soup, Filipino style.

Lovely video. Did you try to get to one of the beaches on Cat Island? I've read they are really nice. It is supposed to be a sleepy but pleasant place.

looking to take the family there. our vacations growing up were to the out islands back in the 80s. its nature at its finest showing.. the tranquility is astounding. its just a pain in the ass to get there...

Please share what iPad mounts you use at your helm. I'm using iPads for navigation and AIS and I'd like to get good mounts. What I have I got to prove the concept, but is not adequate for long-term use.

When crossing from Hawks Nest to Georgetown, do you just come in north of Channel Cay, or south of Fowl Cay?

Neither. We come in north of Stocking Island. If you mean Staniel Cay, we come in south of Fowl, just north of Staniel.

did you really stand on a active runway.. Thats a huge no no !!.. Surprised you were allowed to do that..Must be a unmanned airstrip.. Imagine after all you have been through that a plane not the ocean takes you out..Please stay safe and have a great day !

That was staged. The video clip was from a pilot-friend. He lands his jet there often. It is an unmanned landing strip. He told us he always needs to do a fly-by first, to make sure there are no goats on the runway.
