Catching Gasconade River Smallmouth in G3 Jet and Wade Fishing

Catching smallmouth is a blast and smallmouth on small rivers are even more fun. Once you locate them, they can be caught in big numbers. Especially from a jet boat like the G3 Gator Tough 18 CCJ featured in this episode.
Todays G3 Sportsman explores the Gasconade River in SW Missouri with Westin Yancey as he catches one smallmouth after another on topwater, spinnerbaits and soft plastics.

Great video! Hazel access is a good stretch but next time you guys are out here put in at Riddle bridge down Y hwy to Jerome at the end of D hwy, that is the best stretch. Also in the Winter you can hit the springs, smallies are loaded up on them all along the Gasconade.

When I was in school at Linn Tech we fished the Gasconade all the time. Caught lots of bass and even some catfish

I like your style man, smallies are hands down my favorite fish to hunt. I’ve had a lot of success on the same pattern that u found em on, lay downs mostly shallow w a little deeper pocket. When they hang around that set up u can throw anything at them and they’ll bite. My favorites are the hellgrammite and the craw on a 1/8oz jig head.
