Catching MONSTER LAKE TROUT and STEELHEAD from the SHORE | Niagara River Fishing

Күн бұрынNoah and Mark take a trip out to the mighty Niagara River in search of some spring trout. First they start out at the shore then head down to the fishing pier. Unfortunately Noah gets out fished by the old man on this trip. Watch the whole video to see some crazy fights and giant fish.

The gorge is so deep and cold that trout can be caught almost year round down there. Nice job guys. (Especially Dad) haha

What setup was Mark using when he caught that 2nd laker? Rod, reel, mainline, leader & lure? Awesome day out there, your old man beat you to it this time haha. Tight lines!

Rod: 9ft fenwick eagle salmon/steelhead spinning rod. Reel: pflueger summit xt. 15lb braid to 12lb fluro with a spinner 👍👍

Back in the mid to late 90' s lots of lake trout in teens in the Oswego River. I was lucky enough to get up there a few times. Lakers in current are the equivalent of strippers on light tackle. Pulled hard and were aggressively feeding all fish ate the bait

Nice Video, Just Quick question, do you need any special permit to go to NYPA deck and what time its open for fishing?

This platform is the NYPA, you can find all shore access points at the link below! Although I think the whirlpool stairs are close now👍 www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/67913.html
