Our mate Dunc brags he's summited Mount Kilimanjaro, but it's not exactly true. How far would he continue the lie if pressed on it with a sneaky call?

Mate, he DID do it. His advice is still solid and he still saw the view. My man never lied, just neglected to mention the details.

Honestly it's a waste to be so close to the summit and falling short by such a small distance. I was summiting a 8,000ft mountain just outside of Las Vegas with a few friends and the day was so hot and we became so weak that a few of them stopped maybe 100 yards from the peak point. Me and a couple people soldered on and had an incredible experience looking over every other mountain in sight and down into every valley. After showing them the photos and telling them what it was like to have nothing blocking your view, they were pissed they didn't come up.

T. S that’s an awesome story and exactly why I love hiking. You’re miserable, exhausted, and not thinking clearly (light headed) and then you get to the peak and see MILES and all of a sudden euphoria takes over and it’s so peaceful. Then you gotta turn around and descend lol

@@hessy21 absolutely Dylan. I'm glad someone else feels that experience as well. It's why we do it. I'm not a physical specimen (no huge muscles) but I have low body fat %, great cardio (resting is 44bpm) and a mental and physical drive to succeed in the toughest moments. That's what hiking does to your mentality.

To be fair nah he didn't. Summiting a mountain is reaching the summit (or highest point) 150 metres from the top is not summiting a mountain.

almost making it, still isn't making it! if you're 2m short of the try line in a game of footy you still didn't score, if you crash 150m out from the end of Bathurst, you still didn't finish! same applies here

Tanera Nathan well he pretty much made it to the top, saw what he wanted to see and went back down. Yes he told the lie of him making it to the top but fuck what's 150m gonna do for a view? Not much in my opinion. So yeah, each to their own, he's not a coward.

lol everyone lies i’m sure you’d be embarrassed too if one of your continuous lies were exposed to the world?

@@slumpmanwun Haha wow. I've never once tried to lie to mates to sound cool bro. There's a difference between being called out on an exaggerated story, and a blatant lie. This is obviously all for entertainment purposes, which I enjoyed, however I know too many people (like this LYING COWARD) who honestly believe their own BS to be true.
@taneranathan4 жыл бұрын
@@Alex-ls2fw oh mate I agree with you for sure. 150m ain't gonna make a difference to the view, but it's the major difference in the context of this argument. You can tell he got offended when they called him out on it. The debate wasn't the difference of 150m, it was whether he'd did what he said did, or not. He obviously didn't, then tried to lie his way out of it. Hilarious!!!

that’s a fair enough point so i’ll agree with you on this one

48 comments for a channel with almost half a million subscribers? Also, the guy is probably just insecure, bullying him won't help. If he did climb almost to the top, at least he tried. If he did 5,000 metres of the 5,895 metre climb, it's still more than you've done.
