You got it dude, man you two make me think of me & my wife 15yrs. ago. Always doing something, fishing, trawling, crabbing. Last hitch got me some fresh Tuna they had 2 steaks 3" thick! So I cut it into 4 -11/2" thick, man that some good stuff. Enjoy every minute, age catches up fast. Take care buddy.

Tara loves to fish, crab, and pretty much do anyone outdoors unless it's below freezing. We don't do well in the cold weather. Some fresh Tuna steaks sound amazing. I love me some tuna but I don't get it often. Thanks buddy! 🎣🍻🎣

Interesting fence and gate you are fishing next to. Aren’t all navigable waterways open to the public in Louisiana? No measurements? You crazy! LOL Looks too good. My smellavision quit working on my iPad. Dang it! Cheers! Whipple

There are a lot of waterways that are gated or posted around our area. The gate that I was fishing by was actually an entrance into a hunting club. More and areas get blocked off to the public and honestly I think it sucks. I'm sure you figured us out by now, we don't measure anything when we cook and it always taste good to us. 🤣🤣🤣 Always great hearing from you buddy! 🎣🎣🎣

@@datlouisianalife Yeah, I’m okay with no measurements. I’m the same way, but when I’m treading in unfamiliar water, it’s always better to get close to the mark! I get it about open land being tied up. I belong to a club and we just bought 241 acres to keep it from being developed. Several companies were planning to make it into an industrial park, a coal mine spoils site, or a wind and solar farm.

My brother-in-law(RIP) would make a version of jambalaya when he caught too many croaker. He also came up with the idea of seafood stuffing using ground up garlic flavored Triscuits which was different but good.

Hey Wings; Just wanted to mention, sometimes you need to let them swallow/bait, to ensure the catch.(certain /fish/times/etc./Reason-is, less likely to spit-out./Deeper In stomach/Better! Must say I prefer Slap ya Mama seasoning. I find Tony's contains too much salt for my liking. It's good for cooking but just as a seasoning I find the slap ya mama is way better.

Nice haul , I’m not one for using bait , I make my own baits l’m been making some rope jigs , catching trout, reds, drum, flounders , bass as well , similar to the ole Shad rig days , thanks for sharing your video

I'm sure you noticed that I normally use artificial baits 99% of the time but that day they were giving very high winds so I changed it up a little and went hide from the wind with some bait shrimp. It actually worked out better than I thought. We will be back on the Reds and trout very soon. Appreciate you buddy! Keep on catch'n on your end!🎣🎣🎣

Trout just starting to come back inside , had a couple 18 inch trout last trip out , ran out of tags to tagged them so let them go back until next time , my tags are in the mail now should be in tomorrow but weather looks bad next few days

I am an avid fan of your show. I just was wondering what you do to keep your fishing tackle from corroding from the salt water? The only reels that have used that didn’t corrode are Penn, just sprayed them off and WD-40’d them

I only use a certain reels for saltwater. Most of the waters around here are brackish. Not as bad as pure saltwater but still have to oil the gears and bearings regularly.

I'm sure you know as well as I do that there ain't one Cajun in Louisiana that cooks seafood the same way. That being said, I love tasting and eating the many different ways people prepare their seafood. Appreciate you buddy! 🦀
