Catching STINGRAYS - POTAMOTRYGON MOTORO and Potamotrygon schroederi in nature , RIO ORINOCO

Potamotrygon schroederi ( flower stingray ), Potamotrygon motoro ( spotted stingray ) and Potamotrygon orbingnyi stingrays in their natural habitat along the Rio Ventuari, a tributary of the Rio Orinoco, Venezuela. We are starting to digitize mini DV Tapes from the 90s and early 2000s, here is the first one!

Nice. Please do keep these coming. Hope you have NOT had the extremely painful experience of being stung. One got me on the West coast of Florida. From the size of a piece of the stinger dug out of my foot two weeks later I figure it was about 15-25cm. Decidedly not fun.

not been there in summer (our winter), i would guess that the temperature varies from 15-25C, but i am not sure. Maybe it gets even lower than that and not quite so high.
