#CateBlanchett received the Longford Lyell Award at the 5th AACTA Awards, with tributes from #HugoWeaving, #RichardRoxburgh, Bruce Beresford, Sam Raimi, Ridley Scott, Ron Howard, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, Todd Haynes, Gillian Armstrong, #MartinScorsese and Robert Redford.

How lucky was Rooney to spend so much time acting and doing press with her (and vice versa). You must come out at least a bit smarter after being just in her presence for so long. 'Carol' strikes my right in the heart every time I watch it. Cate's hands down one of the three greats (along with Meryl and Katharine). Already rooting for your third, Oscar Cate❤️❤️

Cate played Veronica Guerin the Irish Journalist who was murdered in 1996 on the M7 Motorway. She was absolutely brilliant and had the Irish accent so right. Which is hard to do.
