What connection did you do to test the gearbox clockwise/counter-clock rotation of you don't mind sharing .

The should have primed the fuel system but but cat doesn't recommend a pre-lube other than assembly lube during assembly when rebuilding and many engine don't even have hand primers for fuel so not required

I REROUTED THE BELT ON THE JOHN DEERES TO UNLOAD A COOLANT SHAFT ,IT WOULD BEND.

Yes that's the recommended level.

I'm an engineer in the Caribbean I'm unfamiliar with these models...... having an issue where the 3 C18's are overheating..... funny thing is its happening at the same time ...... at 1600rpm the temperature passes 200 ..... any thoughts on how I can go about solving this issue?

That's a pretty heavy duty question for youtube comments. I would take that to a forum. We have a really good forum for cummins on our site, but I would recommend you go straight to a cat forum. I'm sure there is something out there.

@@SeaboardMarineIncVideos hi i happen to have solved the problem...... both cores was stuffed with rust and other bits and pieces..... I had to sit with a piece of wire and clean each port one by one 😪 ..... even tho the outside looked clean the tube were stuffed....

With a 4.5:1 reduction gear it’s going in some sort of commercial application....fishing boat, ferry, etc

Map be a 36 38 inch prop, that type of gear reduction 4.5 to 5.5 is usually standard in a tugboat with a cat c18.

Or any average fisherman boat in Maine. Man those guys love big engines, not sure how it's feasible in crab fishing. I'd go out and in by sail and keep my profits.

My 2003 C-16 Was making 785hp to the flywheel. We added a Pittsburgh Power box to it. On setting 5 it was over 1-K. OEM Injectors and Turbo. This must be one of the reduced hp emissions engines from Australia then.

I have this same engine and I’m at 800hp. The twin turbo version is the 1000hp and comes with many more problems when cranking out the 200more HP.

We have Go Pro cameras now with digital stabilization. And i am getting better at my camera work. Our new videos are a bit better in this regard.

That's because it is a "truck" engine. Most marine diesels are derived from truck engines. The Cummins QSB is a prime example of this.
