THIS IS A REALLY NICE STEP! Its a great sealer against porosity in rough iron. Now we get to see how Toby reacts on his X. Personally, I like the look, and hope he does the bell housing. I found his channel a few years ago just as that transmission case and diff was being prepped for Glyptal, been hooked since.

That same type, 1201, comes in light blue and white in addition to red. I'm not a chemist but the yellow may have been discontinued because of the pigment needed to make it. In the 80's when lead white was banned in all paints and inks a lot of colors were dropped and close variants created.

Yea but you did not say how long he has to do it and the x231 is going into the deep freeze for we do not know how long. There might be a thick coating of rust on the part and he will say I painted it with "natural paint".
