Catfishing With Mick Brown - How To Catch Your First Catfish (Video 98)

This video sees me teaming up once again with all round fishing legend Mick Brown. In this video Mick and I visit Willowcroft Fishery in Cambridgeshire, to try and show you how to catch your first Catfish.
PLEASE NOTE: I mention at the beginning of the video that the first fish was caught on Liver. It was brought to our attention, during the filming, that Liver and all other 'non-processed' meats were banned at the fishery due to an increased bacterial infection risk. If you are looking at visiting the fishery, baits such as Luncheon meat are a great alternative as they are processed and 'cooked'.

Haha yeah we have had a couple of catfish from there! Both 40lbers and they are scary!!! There is not many things more exciting than the capture of your first catfish!

fenlandfisherman video is great no doubt about that but dislikes can be earned for almost breaking his arm on the reel handle cause break was off spinning i both ways even with drill loosen...that is big mistake!!!ih the catfish was 20-25kg he would be in serious danger,and that biggest one in the vid would give u much more trouble in some strong river...but ok vid ment for carp fishing more than catfish but i was having fun watching.but few mistakes & that is the reason ppl dis the vid.but ho care when u enjoy fishing in nice place in fresh air and they put solid fight

fenlandfisherman next time try to use big leaches(cant give actual name because this is not my native language)but i think u know what i mean,but real pleasure is fishing with silicone shed on some big river,that is more intense cause u can feel the attack on lure & fight is more struggle than pond fight

reely enjoy your shows mate.. partly becuz i live in the middle ov the lincolinshire fens too lol williow croft is on my list for 2016.. but i must ask if you know ov ene decent canals or drains in or around lincolinshire for sum river carp fishing? as i dont reely know ov enewere... im in the boston area n there is no places round here for river carp, and so am looking further afield.. do you have ene suggestions?

okey! yes in here there numbers are growing... and bigger now 100cm and 180cm what they catch.. in the rivers The Maas, Waal, the Ijsel etc.

the catfish I catch are only like 1 foot long and I with a 6 pound string on and your using 20 pound line and you catch 4 foot cats holy crap
