@@user-iz3sn6ew8r It's about love. But the main thing is to show people how horrible war can be. By the way, main actor - Alexey Batalov is buried in the nearest cemetery to me. Sometimes I just stare at his grave and can't believe in what world are we living now

This film surprised me. I was expecting straight propaganda, but the romance in this film was actually quite moving and the (day)dream sequence was terrific

“The Cranes Are Flying” 1957 - is a Soviet film that tells the story of how a war mercilessly invaded the relationship of a young couple and separated them.....forever...... the most anti-war project of its time! As a Russian-speaking resident, these fragments are sensitive for me, I want to cry because I'm ashamed of my generation, hat created such anti-war things 😢😢😢😖😖😖
