God our Father through Jesus send your Holy Spirit on all expectant mothers. Help them to see their baby as a gift from God, a precious child made in your image and likeness. Pray to end abortion. The baby is the most vulnerable ‘least of these brothers of mine’. Pray to end abortion. God’s miracle of creation is seen by his enemies in the medical profession, the entertainment industry and the media as a disease, to be destroyed by contraceptives , sterilisation , vasectomies and abortion. Let us confront this mindset in our communities by pro life witness. Forgive us Lord for sinful embarrassment, by refusing to speak about abortion. We worry about our career or standing in the community - afraid our ‘friends’ distance themselves from us. Give us Lord the fire of the Holy Spirit as the first disciples and apostles received. By your cross and resurrection you have set us free. You are the Saviour of the world.
