At first when we all saw this video years ago, we didn't know that the man giving Dimash a standing ovation would turn out to be the composer that would come out of retirement after that show to join up with Dimash to create some of the absolute most beautiful music the world has or will ever hear!! Thank you Igor Krutoy!!!!!!!!!

Hello, I’m from Brazil! For those who like information about Dimas' songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The dead singer (to whom Dimash was a fan) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.

Yes, it is a great although sad story. Late Batyrkhan Shukenov was a true peoples singer. You should listen to his songs Дождь (Rain) and Отан Ана (Motherland), and maybe others such as Твои шаги (Your Steps) or Джулия (Julia).

It was so incredible watching him on the front row in Brooklyn. Hearing this live is far beyond my ability to describe. It was an amazing show he had every note danced, was very funny played with the audience. My favorite part is when he came out to the audience and stood on the barricade and I held him up as he was singing. I can’t believe I’m still alive:-) thank you for the awesome review you are very talented and beautiful!

Dimash understands the importance of conveying the real story of music through performance. His total commitment to the story in appearance, dress, body language, and emotion is like a mini-opera. Or a Popera if you like. His intense operatic, blues, jazz, folk, world, and pop music training are all elements within the story. Every performance is a work of art

Great reaction. Oh Catherine..you really have to react to Ikanaide from the 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival. The breath control, the crystal clear studio audio, no stage sounds, no excited fans, just a beautifully simple instrument track and Dimash's incredible voice. You hear and feel every nuance in his voice, every soft whispery breath. It's his master class in dynamics and range. You won't be sorry. you will be glad you did.

Wait, you aren't due for another Dimash reaction until 2023! I hasten to add, you'll get no objections from your fans! Notice the bald guy standing up at the end of the video, when everyone else is sitting (Russian audiences, go figure)? That's Igor Krutoy, a well-known and highly-accomplished classical and contemporary composer. A *retired* composer; his only gig (that I know about) at the time of this concert was as a judge on a Russian TV singing competition. He still has that gig now, actually, but he ended his retirement to work with Dimash. This is important, because some deliriously good Dimash productions ensued. One of them, 'Know,' includes some jazz scatting and riffing. Others include 'Love Is Like a Dream,' 'Stranger,' and 'Ave Maria,' to name just a few. 'Ave Maria' deserves some attention. This is the only Dimash song (that I know about) where the entire thing is sung in the soprano range. Most of Dimash's songs aren't accessible to mortal singers; but this one is, at least in principle - assuming that the singer can handle a whistle voice crescendo and decrescendo, that is. Who *does* that? I had never heard anything like it before. The song is an original Krutoy composition, not the famous Schubert or any of the other classical compositions, and it has no words. No words, nary a one. So anyone attempting it doesn't have to fuss with language barriers. But it'll be hard to match what Dimash did with it. Very hard. It doesn't matter to me which Dimash song you might react to next. They're all good - and your reactions are always fun. Go, you!

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. 🌠👽🤴😇♥️🇧🇷

This was another very enjoyable reaction. This was his 2018 guest performance at the New Wave competition held annually since 2002 at the New Wave Hall in Sochi Olympic Park. FYI, the announcer was wrong; Dimash did not win “The Voice” in China. He took part in an invite-only Chineses competition for established professional and successful singers in 2017 called “I Am A Singer”.The competition consists of 14 rounds, lasts almost 4 months, and competitors are eliminated throughout the season. Every performance is live, and no lip-syncing or auto-tune is permitted. Pure unadulterated vocal ability only. Dimash finished the competition in 2nd place. The band A-Studio is originally from Kazakhstan. The keyboard player, Baigali Serkebaev, composed the song together with the poet Ilia Reznik, and the song was first performed in 1998. The singer of the group A-Studio passed away in 2015, and in this concert, the group was backing up guest vocalists. The triangle man is multi-percussionist Ilya Pokrovsky, a very talented man and a close friend of Dimash and member of the Dimash team (DQ Team). He plays various percussion instruments and accompanies Dimash in all his concerts. Someone explained that the special tribal riff is something practiced in Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and other parts of Asia. A similar technique is also used in some parts of the Middle East. It is referred to by some as a "glottal stop". We use it too when we say "uh oh". A Kazakh KZfaqr commented that Dimash used a Kazakh singing technique, called 'komeymen aytu'. You can hear it among the Turan Group. Sakha people use this technique too; they call it 'kylyhah'. I read somewhere that the tribal vocalization was a tribute to the deceased singer, as it is similar to a technique usually used by women in Kazakh funeral ceremonies. The final run is 21.73 seconds on one breath. This competition was organized by the man in the white shirt who stood up in the first row, Billionaire Igor Krutoy, a famous Ukrainian and Russian music composer, performer, producer, and musical promoter. He invited Dimash to perform and it was this performance that prompted him to come out of retirement and compose masterpieces for Dimash to sing, such as I Miss You, Ogni Pietra, Your Love, Stranger, and Ave Maria, just to name a few. Since this concert, he has been collaborating with Dimash, writing music with his vocal range in mind, and often accompanying him on the piano. So you'll see more of him. There is another performance of this song of one of his more recent concerts. It is as good or better because you can hear certain parts clearer and the camera stays on him most of the time. Here is the link, in case you want to watch it. He is consistently perfect. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eLCUhZiSreCnkYE.html

Baigali Serkebayev Sinful Passion was composed by Baigali Serkebayev (at keyboards.) With the excellent A-Studio band members supporting him, Dimash reformats this 90's pop-rock piece with minimum fuss, and an abundance of crossover elegance. Dimash honored the deceased singer with this tribal vocalization. Dimash has used throat singing in other performances as well, either performed by himself or as part of the accompaniment. Both Dimash and Erlan Bekchurin, who arranges most of Dinash’s songs, are steeped in Kazakh folk music. If you listen closely, you will hear echoes of that in most of his songs.

Nice to see your return, we missed ya, beautiful! After you initial intro to Dimash with SOS, looked forward to your reaction to this one and his other iconic performances. He truly is a sensory experience like no other.

Great reaction! For pop riffs "We are one" and "All by myself (Bastau version)", for middle eastern riffs "Stranger" and "Hello". I'll recommend to react to all of these, because they are very different from each other.

Excellent reaction. Good analysis. To add to viewer enjoyment, I might suggest you watch his performance videos to their entirety to get glimpses into Dimash the person not just the vocal phenom. Btw the man standing and applauding at the end in white shirt is Igor Krutoy. Formerly retired Ukrainian billionaire composer, he now composes and works with Dimash. Suggest Autumn Strong/Late Autumn 2017 from the Chinese talent show I Am Singer for your next reaction. Often overlooked, this might be Dimash's most emotional and beautiful of all. This performance is one of my favs as it shows the emotional reaction of the audience and fellow competitors to his first performance phonetically in Mandarin to his Chinese audience. Suggest the video from the Gloria Wu channel ss it shows Dimash one week preparation glimpses and the backstory to this well known song in China. The english subtitles to the lyrics are very weak but better than nothing. Later in 2021, Dimash does the original Japanese version of the same song story called Ikanaide...his first performance phonetically in perfect Japanese. Ty again.

You are echoing Mr. Harris RYC Sinful Passion review: "... I feel like he makes every word important. Every word! Every line..." Great job! Loved your SOS reaction, too.

Can you check out Daneliya Tuleshova? She's a 16 yr old Kazakhstani that Dimash rates really highly. So under rated and unappreciated. Her skyfall+Toxic mashup is magic. Or her "Not about Angels" cover where she sounds so delicate and beautiful.
