Cathy Dennis always, from the start, made her mark and point, that she is in charge of her life and person, not taking the BS from the industry and toxicity. I admire such courage from a 'young' age and just the whole personality, that so blatantly 'screams' professionalism and inner strength. Thank you, Cathy!

Achieving an Ivors Award is much tougher to attain than most music awards simply because there are only so many world class songwriters during each music era and Cathy Dennis is one of them....... Yes indeed !

Huge fan of Cathy Dennis - "Why" is one of the greatest dance numbers of all time. I never tire of listening to it

Yes! Loved "Why" in the early 90s. I was in middle school at the time, but I totally appreciated it's vibe. Cathy was on an episode of BH 90210, and performed "Why" as the live act at the prom. I heard that Jason Priestley loved her, and he was responsible for her appearing in that episode.

I knew her when she sang in her family band , She was a lovely girl shy, but very good in the band . The last time i saw her she came to a night club with her sister Georgie where i did security , she said could see Peter the main DJ to say to him that she just wanted a nice night out so dont say I am at the club, she told me then she wanted to do producing and writing , and wow , she has done so well .

The entire Into the Skyline album is great. I still listen to it occasionally. I’d love to hear some new music from her, but for now I’ll have to settle for listening to other artists cover her songs. Amazing songwriter and singer. Still absolutely beautiful as well.

Good on Cath for redirecting her musicality into behind-the-scenes work and finding even greater success and fortunes without all the headaches of promotional appearances, rehearsals, etc. She gets to collect her coin while living a relatively private life.

She is a true survivor considering how much the Music Scene has changed since she started out. Now she's an Icon with I Kissed A Girl by Katy Perry amongst others. Not even Debbie Gibson achieved what she did. As far as I'm concerned in many ways Taylor Swift is riding on her shoulders.

I hope she doesn't think thoughts of being old and forgotten, 'cus the thoughts I have regarding her don't seem much different from when I was 25. I really have this vision of future centuries where our music videos from The Golden Age ('81-'99) are treated like a national treasure. Like the tv ads in DEMOLITION MAN. So a pop star from '91 as hot as Cathy wa(is)s being erased by history might take quite some time.

cause a lot of male music producers who manage women are usually selling them to be "sexy" and many of them, one popular pop music producer by the name of Dr Luke has allegations of sexual assault. i think more female producers could be a good thing for female artists.
