An easy way to add color behind a die cut (use the negative cut as a stencil!)

Add color using the negative space of any die cut panel. This is not a new technique, but it's a fun and easy way to add color. I'll show you two cards: one using Distress Inks for painting, and the other using simple ink blending. To see a blog post with a few photos, visit: wp.me/p4O62M-asW

So pretty. Crap, I want/need this stamp set now... Thanks alot CZ! :| "Do as I say, not as I do!" Heard that frequently in my youth. I've made my own stencils too by die cutting through transparency sheets, which can be cleaned and saved.

Absolutely love both coloring techniques using the balloon bouquet - what a great die/stencil! I think a card would look lovely with no die cuts added, but the strings colored in also.

A tip to keep water color paper flat is spritz the back lightly with water. Totally flattens the paper.
