I woke up on this beautiful Monday morning in Austin, Texas and was scanning depressing news on my iPad. Then, I checked in on your KZfaq channel and watched this segment. It put me at ease and really re-shaped my attitude for the day. I don’t own any of John’s speakers. (My main speakers are actually Cornwall IVs.) I have heard Devore speakers and they are amazing! I have just never pulled the trigger on purchasing a pair. A pair of Orangutans are on my wish list. The pictures that John shared encompassed all that I feel when I am in my listening room. Truly personal space surrounded by my records and all of the equipment I have collected since becoming a “system nut” in the late 1970’s - combined with personal touches that make a house a home. Thank you, Steve, for making my day and probably my week! You are a true ambassador for the hobby and I love your work.

This is amazing! The sheer quantity of LPs in these photos is hard to wrap your head around. Devore makes The most beautiful speakers ever. As a woodworker, I just adore looking at them. Haven’t got to any parts about how they sound, and I’m curious if they are designed to work well placed pretty much against the front wall. I don’t care. The photos of these systems and the beauty of the speakers is pure Eye candy for someone who loves design. And as a woodworker, I think I can say we love beautiful and functional columns and monolithic towers of wood. And oh! John does explain that it starts with the architect or designer’s priorities, and the sound of the speakers in the room must be tailored to accommodate. Thank God it finally gets to some dogs. They’re great. Cats, not so much. But that can be forgiven since this is such a great visit. Thx!

So cool to get to know John. I first saw his Orangutans at an audio show in Toronto. It was the most stand out room at the show for me. The system was producing real natural music. A small tube amp and a turntable. They spent money on a suite so it was in a good sized room and it sounded great. I thought at the time that this was done by a company that gets high fidelity sound. Now meeting John through your channel it is great to see that a great guy who cares is behind this great piece of audio art.

Beautiful speakers and beautiful rooms! I've got the same sunshine condition as the photo at 6:57 and I eventually ended up with a lot of faded album cover spines. Didn't break my heart but if you're fussy about your sleeves, it's something to consider. Looks like your whole room is fit out with Lundia shelving systems. Lundia is sooo nice. I'm using Lundia for my books and CDs but cheaped out with Ikea and metal shelving for my LPs. Lundia for my LPs would cost about $4K. Your T-shirt kitty looks like a short-haired version of KZfaq star Owl Kitty.

How that woofer eyed cat listens and processes those SINe sound waves that enter his ears and then how he compares them to that fidelity on high information, or logos, he's heard before , which resonated within his whole being and had a positive impact (in his heart and mind, that all in this group are called to find and should have , by THE WAY) is what really matters , since that will make it a WIN-WIN situation for all, and certainly not so much the evolution pollution collusion , nor the eyes per se . There's a very good reason music lovers prefer cats: they're much less time consuming than dogs and they're independent. Don't get me wrong, I love dogs. The problem is they are very needy and time consuming; robbing the music lover of time that would be better spent listening to music. Also, remember what that Dogue de Bordeaux did to Tom Hanks' stereo and records in Turner and Hooch? Those woofers were toast!
