Cats are more social than most people think. But there's probably genes and family relationships here, also. The two closest tabby & white cats are probably related, the black and white may have different genes - he?- seems less vocal but more focused.

pookiehoney I have seen cats do it before they pounce. Without doubt it isn’t in their nature to merely look at birds. It’s their instinct to chase, most likely. I may be wrong, but I don’t find this to be cruel, any more than it could be considered cruel to domesticate cats and dogs in the first place. This seems like they are just chattering. I think it is cute and stress relieving to watch them. I agree, I don’t like to share any animal video that I find cruel. This seems like nothing bad, though.
