I continue saying that that quota system prof is a joke when it comes to anything about a southern government but defensive once it will favor the north. He is not sincere with the whole truth, professor, tell your people the fulani herdsmen to stop killing farmers across the country, and there will be enough food in the country. You want open grazing to continue where the herders will be creating havoc in people's farms and at the same time blaming the government for a shortage of food, hypocrisy at the highest order.

This right of entitlement especially by the fulani ethnic extraction must stop. How can a sane man or woman campaign for free land for herders who are doing their private cattle businesses? What sort of nonsense is this going on in Nigeria? We shall not use public funds, lands belonging the the indigenous peoples to establish ranches for private cattle business. May God punish anyone that will suggest giving out indigenous peoples lands to people who are not indigenous to that geographical expression called Nigeria. Absolutely shameful, nonsensical, ridiculous etc.

Sorry i completely disagree with the intro of the anchor Mr Wale. OBJ is very apt for coming up with the suggestion for Nigerians to review & have a system that can work for Nigeria. All the countries that Mr Wale has given as examples are countries where the people themselves have already thinkered with the system that they inherited to make it more home compliant. Nigeria is the only country of all colonial nations & the likes, that has kept promoting the colonial system & interest over its own preferred interest for a better life for its indigenous nationalities. Even the late Gani i remember made a comment akin to this matter about how political leaders should be sworn into government by local/traditional means. If we can get the correct system for our peculiar clime, it will go a long way to tame bad leaders by exposing them & shameing them out of office.

The criminal activities in northwest Nigeria are driven by a combination of economic hardship, environmental degradation and climate change, social conflicts, weak governance, security lapses, arms proliferation, and political manipulation. Addressing these underlying causes requires a comprehensive and coordinated approach that includes economic development, environmental management, strengthening governance and security, controlling arms smuggling, and resolving social conflicts.Accordingly, focusing on only strengthening security will not solve the issues

Killing of farmers in Benue predated the establishment of the anti open grazing law, the law was thought to be a solution but rather worsened it, this prof is so biased. Am surprised he believes open grazing has being existent for years and so it should continue. How do you compare Igbos in the North who have acquired land with their monies and are doing their businesses with herders who roam about freely with their cattle, feed on the crop of poor farmers and also kill them? What about farmers cattle eating their crops? Is it only cattle herders draught affected to affecting farmers?? Does that farmers affected because of that encroaching on other peoples land to bearer the brunt? How cattle we have in Nigerian compared to advance country. Instead of advocating for modern animals husbandry. and farming. Prof never fit to be governor or President, he will sponsoring tribal Fulani agenda like former leadership, instead to see both farming and cattle rearing as private business, only the entrepreneur to buy land from the owners or government at subsides rate where is available for each organ of government, open grazing not done in civilized country. Thousands of years ago, cattle rearing is sold business in Saudi Arabia, is there open grazing to be eaten up another farmers crops? Don't they have surplus meat.Corruption is the problem abundant is in the north, to create canal ,dam, and ranching, even open grazing there could not be possible, not all farmers there are cattle rearers. They buy land like poultry farmers to graze cattle within the parameters of their land they can sunk borehole, electric motorised well to drain water to a major concrete pond for cattle to drink.Various grass and crops could be planted there for their cattle to eat not and another farmers crops.
