Meghan Markle, 42, is not part of a texting group chat with the rest of her former “Suits” co-stars, Gina Torres revealed ahead of a cast reunion at Sunday night’s 2024 Golden Globes.
While walking the red carpet outside the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, Torres, 54, who co-starred in “Suits” as Jessica Pearson (and got a short-lived “Suits” spinoff, “Pearson”), told Variety, “Our text thread is insane right now, so it’s very exciting.”

As a psychiatrist, I think you are spot on about MM’s need to control her environment. Like so many narcissists she is actually very thin-skinned. Beneath the grandiosity there is a lot of shame and vulnerability; she fears exposure and so she has to control the narrative. Given recent events, she would have known she was in for a hard time if she went. But, as you say, how is she going to further her ‘career’ if she does not network among this crowd? I don’t think she was invited but if she was, imagine how painful it must be for her to decline her heart’s desire! She needs to spin it in some way that either makes her a victim or which makes her superior to all that, and so she lies and manipulates.

Thankyou for your professional opinion. I for one understand all this after counsellinng for workplace incidents with similar. However this does not alter the fact that these people are harmful to others who are largely innocent. They are in so many cases not fit to take part in normal society. Megan, turning down a chance to make a presentation at the Golden Globes???😂😂😂 A few months back she let her agency know that she would be ‘willing’ to make a presentation at the Oscars, Emmys or Golden Globes-but the offers never came . . . It’s actually a good thing she wasn’t invited. If she got up on that stage with the Suits cast, she would have entirely ignored the script and wrestled the microphone away from anybody that had it.😂😂😂

These events are organised months in advance nobody can tell me she would not have put the Golden Globes as a priority on her list of commitments. Maybe she was too busy getting milkshakes and In-N-Out burgers for Harry and the kids. What does surprise me is that Ari Emmanuelle couldn't shoe horn her into this event like he did with the Kevin Costner Gala. Jo Koy knew she wouldn't be present and worked his comedic routine accordingly.

I think Neil Sean was right when he said Meghan turned down the invitation because she wasn't allowed to hand out an award alone. (The whole cast was supposed to be involved.) It could explain why Gina Torres said "We don't have her number" & why Patrick Adams tried to avoid answering "Would you like to act with her again?" If Meghan insisted on appearing without the rest of them, I can only imagine how offended they'd feel. It could explain Gina & Patrick 's reaction.
