Unless she can prove that he was driving, which is pretty impossible, they cant do that. It sucks in this case but innocent until proven guilty is an amazing thing, even though sometimes it means guilty people get away.

It doesn't work like that. Realistically, the burden falls on her shoulders since its her car. But the judge was very nice and let it go, which is the best he can do.

Who knows what else will happen in life :-) Just knowing about yourself will ultimately make you the person you want and should be... you also have a high degree of empathy, otherwise you wouldn't have cried. ALONE that fact and experience that you cried, and that you showed yourself compassionate, tells me that you have a good heart :-) Honestly, I love and appreciate such people very much! A not inconsiderable part of humanity has significantly less empathy than YOU :-) ❤

The judges final message is so true. There are many people in their 80s and 90s (especially where I live) that are clearly a danger on the road due to their impaired vision, slower reaction times and limited mobility. I understand giving up driving would be hard for them, but they end up causing many accidents and that is even more difficult.

Same. Judge Caprio's subtle suggestion to her that she should probably stop driving by that point is understandable. Having to go through chemotherapy and have one of her lungs surgically removed had to be taking their toll on her physically as well as emotionally. She's obviously trying her best to fight what I'm assuming is lung cancer, but hopefully at this point since this video uploaded, she got some friends or family members to step in and help her as far as getting to the hospital for appointments is concerned. Sometimes you have to let other people help you out in situations like this, even if it means having to sacrifice your independence.

I had to MAKE my Step dad quit driving after he had a stroke and tried to renew his License. He said "No" when asked if he had a Stroke or any other medical problems in the last year. I flat out said "Shall I get the Drs report and bring it in Dad? You DID have a stroke." My step Brother was very livid over that. BUT I took a dangerous Driver off of the road. BTW, I'm in ALBERTA CANADA. I LOVE these episodes. Honesty is ALWAYS the best and safest policy.
