Thanks for sharing a brilliant and beautiful model, not much information on the Net about the Beringer Caudron Typhoon.

The builder/pilot is Gilbert Beringer. His pit crew was his wife, Veronique, and some Reme. They are all great flyers!! Reme was World Champion in 2002 I believe. I met the family at the KidVenture venue at Oshkosh, where I was a volunteer for many years. The Beringers had a business manufacturing and selling brake and wheel components for motorcycles in France, and branched out into the aviation world and were vendors at Oshkosh. They eventually sold off the motorcycle business and concentrated on the aviation after market for wheels, brakes, and hydraulic fittings. All really top class stuff!! I was just beginning to get into 4 stroke engines at that time, and was able to talk with Gilbert in the evenings about set ups. He also made his own propellers! very nice people and great family!!
